Brightly colored fashion pumps are a wonderful way to draw attention to a pair of gorgeous tanned or shapely legs. You can also wear them to balance out your body shape that is top-heavy (such as an apple or inverted triangle body shape), which is a trick to make your upper half look less heavy and wide.

Peep Toe Pump/ Endless

Flats are a good choice if you don't want your feet to scream for attention. The flat heel makes sure that your outfit looks casual and cute without overdoing it.

However, pumps with a little bit of heel look more right fashion-wise. Plus they're are versatile; making it possible for you to wear them to office work, parties, and yes, even weddings!

Do's and Don'ts of Wearing Red Pumps

Combine them with solid, plain colors: Red is a very loud color itself so it does pay to wear it with black, brown, grey, cream and white. Or anything solid will do fine. If you want to wear them with a dress or top with print, look for those with a mix of solid colors with just a small hint of red. Just let the shoes be the center of the attention! Red shoes look fashionable with dark colors because they'll stand out and look more alluring. Plus dark colors such as grey, black and dark blue complement the color.

Wear them in an unconventional way: Red pumps don't always mean you should combine them with something sexy or sophisticated. Instead, go casual with for example a loose print t-shirt or a basic tee with a boyfriend cardigan. Or a blazer with a pair of skinny jeans. Very chiqué!

Wear them to work: They look amazing with a black pencil skirt and a white dress shirt. A splash of color without being completely 'out there'.

Choose flat (or wedge) pumps to make your outfit look less serious. It's a perfect option if you don't like wearing high heels. Plus they'll go with your everyday short dress and skinny jeans outfits.

If you really want to wear red pumps but don't feel comfortable adorning your feet with a bright color try a darker shade of red like burgundy or deeper reds.

Tip: A darker shade of red is more versatile and go with your style without looking attention-grabbing.

Combine the pumps with a loose-fitting top for a relaxed and stylish look.

DON'TS

Cover up a little to balance out your outfit. The red pumps already speak for themselves. So drop the mini dress, low v-neck or anything that looks tacky (such as the ripped jeans Christina Aguilera is wearing).

Don't go too matchy-matchy. Red shoes with red lipstick and red purse is a classic chic combo. More than that makes it look like you're trying too hard.

Do NOT match the red shoes with a red dress along with other red accessories. That's killing the outfit. It screams: "Look at me! Oh, look at meeeee!".

Dark green doesn't look right with red (except for teal) ... unless you want to look like you're Santa's Little Helper :)
