So to avoid this you might want to add some interesting touches with a scarf in a slightly bold (or bright) color or a trendy accessory.

Also, try stretching your comfort zone by selecting your essentials in a different color than a neutral - for example, if you're into ballet flats see if you can try a new pair with in another color or that has some gold metal hardware.
