What About Long Skirts

All the skirts shown are in the shorter range. Are ankle length skirts or skirts just a few inches above the ankle still being worn; especially for evening events?

If you're planning on wearing a long evening skirt to a Black Tie event then it would be more appropriate to wear a skirt that barely sweeps the floor (showing just the tip of your shoes when walking) to create that formal Cinderella look.

However if you're attending a semi-formal or casual event, or just want to wear a long skirt as everyday wear, then ankle length skirts or skirts just a few inches above the ankle would be best without looking too 'Princessy'.

Of course, it's alright to bend the rules a bit by going floor-length and casual, but it's important to keep the outfit looking chic by balancing it out with basic but modern pieces like for example a cropped blazer, leather jacket or a trendy clutch purse.

I really love short skirts so that's probably why you've only noticed shorter hem skirts on my website (except for the bohemian skirts-section)! But thanks for giving me the heads-up on this issue -- long maxi skirts are starting to creep up in to shops and predicted to become a stylish trend for Spring/Summer 2010 so I'll start writing more about them :-)

Hope this helps.
