V-neck Sweaters, Tops and T-shirts
… Why V-Necks Are The Most Flattering Neckline You Can Ever Wear
If you want to look like you've lost 10 pounds then you wear V-neck t-shirts, sweaters and tops.
I don't care how fashionable scoopnecks are, V-necks are more flattering. They add definition and length to your face and upper body.
They're sexy but basic (and I wear them almost every day). They're simply chic!
A V-neck is a Fabulous Option Because:
- Slims down your body's upper half -- awesome if you have a heavy upper part/short waist/thick waist/etc.
- Exposes your feminine and beautiful décolletage
(part between your neck and bust line)
- Flatters your chest -- fab if you have a great pair of breasts
- Flatters your face shape -- especially if you have a round/wide face
- Elongates your neck -- deep V-neck does wonders
Really! V-necks do all those things to all shapes.
How to Buy V-neck T-Shirts and Tops
Choose versatile colors. Select solid, neutral colors like black, white/cream, brown and gray. They'll blend in with all of your outfits.
And then build it from there with other colors like purple, red, blue, green, yellow, etc. With different patterns and sleeves.
Regular or low-cut?
I usually divide v-necks into regular and low cut. Regular v-necks are pretty universal and work with anything.
However, I think you might like the low (sometimes called deep) v-neck as it can really balance out and slim your shape by showing
more skin. I don't know about you, but I think low-cuts can display a good cleavage without looking tacky.
Also, you can wear a cute cami or tank top
beneath it for a casual layering look. You can show off the trim of top.
Tip: If you want to cover up your cleavage or just want to layer your outfit -- add a camisole beneath it.
But make sure the camisole has a neckline that sits high to be slightly seen at the same time low enough to avoid cutting
your neckline in half.
How v-necks affect your face shape.
If your face shape is round/wide/square the V-shaped opening simply creates an illusion of a slim face and you'll get a pointy chin.
So snap up on V-neck sweaters, tops and dresses!
But if you have an Inverted Triangular, Heart or Diamond face shape. The V-neck will enhance your pointy chin that naturally
comes with your face shape. You can either wear a v-neck to emphasize the shape of your facial shape or switch to a scoop neck.

Camis and Tank Tops
Regular cut camis are worn for toning down a cleavage or beneath a see-through blouse.
Lower cut camis can be transformed into a sleek party outfit with accessories.
V-neck camis look good with a sweater without the bulk around the shoulders.
Note: For extra comfort and support, try seamless camis with built-in bra.

Short Sleeve T-Shirts
I recommend choosing fitted tees for all shapes. It skims the shape of your upper body in a flattering way.
So avoid boxy t-shirts as they tend to have sleeves that can make your shoulders look bulky.
Note: Cap sleeves look best on women with toned arms.

Long Sleeve Tees
Choose between full length or 3/4 sleeves.
If you are petite in shape or have short arms, I recommend the 3/4 sleeves to visually elongate your arms. This is highly recommended
if you choose to wear it alone with a pair of pants or skirt. Showing a little skin will make you look taller.
