combine it with a stylish vest or a long cardigan.

Not only do turtleneck sweaters keep your neck area warm but it gives you a blank palette to show off your jewelry.

How to Buy a Turtleneck Sweater
Secure atleast one cotton (not too thin yet not too thick) turtleneck sweater in solid black
It will blend well with what's in your wardrobe. And it looks slimming on all shapes!

Already own one in black? Then feel free to choose other colors like purple, red, mustard yellow, khaki and grey which
are popular fall and winter colors.
Pick the right hemline length for your height and not least your body shape
Why? The wrong hem length can mess up your body frame. Your goal is to create a long, lean and balanced silhouette.
If you're already very skinny then do not attempt to wear super-chunky turtleneck dresses to appear
curvier. It will do the exact opposite, swallowing you up or in worst case, mkae you look skinnier in comparison. Instead,
opt for turtlenecks with a nipped waist and/or flare hem.
Longer, tunic-like turtleneck sweaters will look best on taller women, so if you're petite go for thigh length sweaters or shorter.
Note:
If you're bottom-heavy (pear body shape) avoid long sweaters that hit your hips because it can make you look more heavier around that area.
Stick to a shorter cut to balance out your frame by "filling out" your upper half which is your narrowest part. This will make your hips and butt look
slimmer.
On the other hand, if you're a woman with a fuller or wider top, a turtleneck that has a longer hem with a sight flare will help give your figure more curves
ar the hip-area.
Also, if you have a short waist, choose turtleneck hemlines that fall down to your hips.
Or if you have a long waist, opt for regular or shorter hemlines.
Be careful with turtlenecks if you have a round or wide face shape
Because they can emphasize the shape.
My tip is to wear a couple of long earrings or/and long necklace with or without a vertical pendant to visually create a narrower face.
If you've fallen in love with a turtleneck and want it to last
Choose a turtleneck with quality
fabrics such as cashmere, merino wool blend or cotton-lycra-blend (slightly stretchy). Note: The fabrics mentioned
are less itchy and scratchy than pure wool, lessening the irritation on your sensitive neck area. The stretch will also produce a comfortable and flattering fit.
If your office work code requires you to dress sophisticated
... but you still want to look chic,
pick a turtleneck sweater with short and/or puffed sleeves.
For instant trendiness and fabulous and feminine silhouette wrap a black or dark brown wide belt around your waist. Or even better,
add a nice statement necklace.
