What better way is there to celebrate the warm weather than wearing gorgeous sun dresses? The warm months aren't the
same without the perfect summer frock.

You can find sun dresses in heaps of chic styles, from floral to abstract prints, to solid colors and color blocks. They also vary in lengths; knee
and thigh length being the most popular choice to show off your sunkissed legs and of course, maxi dresses which are a more elegant,
safe but indeed a trendy option for fashionistas as well as for full figure women who want to downplay their curves.
How to Select a Flattering Summer Dress

I know how tempting it is to select short sun dresses for the hot weather but always make sure that the hem is NEVER shorter than the tip of your middle
finger when standing up with your arms casually straight down - simply to avoid looking tacky and like you're wearing a long top without a bottom.
A too short
dress ruins the proportions of the outfit.
Tip:
If you're buying a short sun dress then opt for knee or above-the-knee length as it is universally flattering.
A maxi dress is also a great investment for summer. However, the length should hit just the thinnest part of your ankle to avoid the dreaded length suicide effect.
Taller gals can full off calf-length sun frocks - so if you're Petite opt for shorter or longer (maxi) - or work extra on adding height with heels.
Invest in classic summer prints that never go out of style
Such as floral, ethnic patterns, tie dye and airy colors like white/cream, yellow, medium to light
blue and pinks. White summer dresses are especially timeless - and definitely a wardrobe staple for any chic fashionista!
Tip: The best dress styles that elongate most body figures consist of a v-neck, a knee or above-the-knee length hem and a nipped waist. The length shows more leg (you'll look taller); the waist makes your torso look narrowed; and the V-shape of a V-neck draws the eye up and down (compared to a scoop neck visually add more width).

Color-blocking (dark and light color) work best on taller and bigger scaled body figures - as it tends to chop up your silhouette and make you
look shorter and wider. And that's height suicide for a Petite woman(5'4").
Scale it to you body size
If you are average to tall go for larger prints. Are you a plus size? Opt for big prints that stretch vertically.
If you're
short you'll look best in smaller prints as large ones overpower your stature. Plus size AND short? Opt for medium size prints that stretch vertically.
