What hot and trendy for spring summer 2011 Garments and outfits with an uncompleted, slightly messy look to them. This is another loosening of a neat and clean look. Unpicked, un-ironed, un-seamed, un-lined and undone clothing as well as asymmetry are the names of the fashion game. Tail hems (dresses and tops longer at the back) are very trendy this season.

How to wear the trends for spring summer 2011 As Karl Lagerfeld pointed out, 'It's incredibly hard to make something look unfinished', and he's right. How can you possibly make an outfit look unfinished? Well, you should look for details such as fraying and tearing, but another way to make your ensemble look incomplete is in the way you wear a garment.

Take a white boyfriend shirt for example: Button up a few buttons in the middle, take one side of the shirt and tuck it in your shorts, wear a seamless cami underneath and you've got yourself and unfinished I-just-woke-up-and-couldn't-find-anything-else-to-wear-than-my-boyfriend's-shirt.

More examples of how to wear this trend:

Tail Hem/Cutaway Hem: These are going to be very popular this season, and a fabulous alternative to mini skirts and dresses. They exude a feminine sexiness that isn't too much. They fill something in between mini and maxi.

However if your legs are on the short or muscular side I would select a tail hem that is long enough (longest back part) to fall just below your knees or a tail hem that skims a bit over your calves to make your legs look leaner instead of directing focus to the chunkiest part of your legs. Let the playful tail hem take the center stage and go minimal on accessories.

Cut-off Denim Shorts: Take a casual tee and tuck half of it in your cut off denim jeans. Effortless chic.

What accessories and clothes to buy for spring summer 2011 Unpicked seams, fraying, tearing, loose and asymmetrical hems.
