We'll continue on in the Spring Fashion Trends 2010-report with the second set of chic must-haves:

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: 6. Ethnic-inspired Sandals

Beads, sequins, multi colored texture, snake skin… That's what you'll be seeing a lot of this season. Embellished sandals keep your outfit looking interesting - adding a little of an exotic flavor in your style.

How to wear ethnic-inspired sandals:

Mini notebook icon Embellished sandals or anything that have lots of details tend to highlight your legs, so if you're self-conscious about how your legs look, pass this trend on.

Mini notebook icon Wear them with simple, solid or two-tone pieces to accentuate the awesome details of the sandals

Mini notebook icon The sandals will highlight your feet and legs so make sure you get a pedicure, shave your legs, and exfoliate the skin and slatter on some lotion to keep looking flawless and soft. Nothing's worse than walking around with chipped nail polish on your toes and callous on your heel in a pair of fabulous and good-looking sandals.

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: 7. Wedge Sandals

They're bigger than ever for spring/summer 2010 and are definitely a must in your wardrobe! Wedge sandals are one of my personal spring-time closet favorites, and that's because they're so much forgiving than stilettos, high heels, kitten heels, and even chunky heels, etc. They bring a whole new dimension to your outfits and are comfortable to wear for warmer months. They basically give petites and short legged women a reason to wear heels for summer! Wedge heel also look slimming on thick, muscular legs.

How to wear wedge sandals:

Mini notebook icon To make yourself look extra slimmer choose wedge sandals with an open toe. The more skin you show the taller and leaner you'll look.

Mini notebook icon Wearing wedge heels for formal-semi formal parties are a no-no because they look too casual for the occasion and ruin your outfit. They're much more suitable for casual parties, dates and everyday wear.

Mini notebook icon If you'll be walking in wedges all day, opt for heels made of cork, rubber or any other soft materials that will give cushioning comfort to your feet thus allowing good shock absorption.

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: 8. Lace

You usually see lace in lingerie and underwear but now we're facing lace in evening wear as well as all kinds of daywear ;-) Lace is a lovely style stemming from boudoir dressing -- adding some lace in your outfit creates a softer, feminine look -- but you can try stretching your fashion envelope by making it look edgy with for example a pair of wetlook leggings or a leather jacket. So it's by far something only your grandma or a girly-girl would wear. You can today find lace in mini dresses, mini skirts and corset tops - leaving its 'old-fashioned' rumor behind and becoming into something sexy, demure and figure-flattering.

How to wear lace:

Mini notebook icon If you're a little wary about this sweet, frilly look but would like to try it out start with something simple like using accent-pieces such as lace-covered jewelry or a pair of lace tights (which is a classic wardrobe piece, by the way), or you could go casual with a shoulder or neckline lace accented top.

Mini notebook icon If you're wearing lace on the day-to-day, remember to layer for example a simple cardigan to make it work/school friendly.

Mini notebook icon For an ultra-trendy look, mix casual basics with the lace. A lace mini dress can look pretty hot and fabulous paired with a tailored boyfriend blazer with roll-up sleeves and platform sandals.

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: 9. Stripes

A huge nautical influence is coming up for Spring 2010; black and white, and blue and white being the most dominant. Of course, stripes are re-occuring spring essentials that look timless no matter when or how you wear it, but for some reason, they are expected to be really big this season. It's such a timeless and classic look as seen on Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn. They are super-versatile and can easily be teamed up with a print skirt and single chain-bead-necklace.

How to wear stripes:

Mini notebook icon Stick to neutral colored stripes to be able to wear them with anything - like for example blue and white, black and white, beige and white/gray and white.

Mini notebook icon If you want to be able to wear stripes to work choose a three-quarter sleeved version -- it looks more polished and appropriate for office.

Mini notebook icon Do not be afraid to mix and match the stripes with other fun prints and details. Add for example a polka dot scarf tied around your neck, or team them up with a bright-colored gemstone necklace

Mini notebook icon Make sure you pick the right style of stripes for your height and body figure; stripes tend to make you look wider and shorter, but not narrow ones! Narrow stripes are more versatile and flattering than the wide ones. If you have wide shoulders (á la inverted triangle body shape) or torso have in mind that horizontal stripes can slightly emphasize that, so either pick tops with narrow stripes or balance it out with a flared bottom.

Spring Fashion Trends 2010: 10. Boyfriend Blazers

Boyfriend Blazer
They're continuing to be a wardrobe essential for Spring/Summer 2010. A boyfriend blazer is extremely versatile as you can wear it for day, evening, weekends and even work. Topping this on top of a casual dress or a basic tee is a simple way to look chic and sophisticated on a mild summer day. And best of all, it is not age-specific so a boyfriend blazer can good on a 16 year old girl as well as a woman in her 50s.

How to wear a boyfriend blazer:

Mini notebook icon To make it look like an actual boyfriend blazer, roll up the sleeves. Look for linings. Exposing your wrists adds a little bit of that she-touch. Throw in some nail polish and a nice watch while you're at it.

Mini notebook icon To look less masculine in a boyfriend blazer make sure you add a good amount of accessories to feminize it. Examples are: silk scarf, bracelets, necklace, nail polish, belt and most definitely a pair of chic shoes.
