I Have Warm Skin With Summer Blue Eyes
by Becca
(London, UK)
Can I be a warm season if I have summer-like eyes? I have light skin with definite yellow/gold undertones (ranging from slightly sallow in winter to a light golden brown in the summer) and medium brown hair with natural golden highlights.
I look terrible in pastel colours and white and I feel that many of the spring colours, especially clear spring, suit me the best and after years of avoiding gold jewelery, I've recently discovered it suits me better than silver.
However, I have very pale blue eyes, which seem like they would fit more in one of the summer seasons. People often compliment me on the bright colour of my eyes and I have previously been "diagnosed" as a spring (although in the four-season system), so I've been working on the assumption that I am probably a clear spring.
I've read conflicting advice online, though, as to whether skin/hair colour or eye colour is the most important factor in determining one's season.
I feel like I ought to be within a warm season but is it possible to be a clear spring with such summer-like eyes?
Thanks for producing such a great website and blog--I love to read your style and beauty tips.
Many thanks, Becca
Hello Becca, yes it's quite possible to be a warm season even if you have really pale blue summer-like eyes. In fact I suspect that you might be a mix of both Clear Spring and Clear Winter, but leaning most towards Spring because of your skin's warm undertone.
Both Clear Spring and Clear Winter share the similar 'Clear and Bright' coloring trait. And if you check out the color palette for Clear Winter you'll notice that it shares many of the colors with Clear Spring. Clear Winter people also tend to have bright or pale blue eyes like yours :-)

It's normal to belong to more than one group that is similar to your main one. This is called 'Flow Season' which takes into account that you may have color characteristics from more than one season. With all the coloring variations (especially blue eyes) among people it can be difficult to categorize yourself in only one single seasonal group :-) I usually don't put a lot of emphasis on the eyes unless they're very bright or pale (very light eyes tend to greatly affect your overall complexion). And in your case, I believe you're a mix and can borrow colors from another similar group. I hope this cleared up your issue! PS: I appreciate your positive feedback :-) Sincerely, Products you may be interested in:
