Are Fingerless Gloves Hot to Wear This Season?

I really like the look of fingerless gloves, long or short, but I don't have any ideas of what to wear them with. Any ideas?

yup fingerless gloves are hot this season (winter 2009)! And I'm guessing that they'll be around for the next winter seasons because of their convenient (although not that warming) functionality.

Both knitted and leather fingerless gloves are very trendy this season, and they look awesome with almost anything, from sweater dresses, knit sweaters, tunics, etc. The leather adds a tough punch to any style, while the knit looks cute and "warms" up your outfit.

Most fingerless gloves are versatile (remember to select solid, basic colors to match with the rest of your wardrobe) so there aren't a lot of restrictions on how to wear them.

The gloves are great adding an edge to your outfit. To achieve a chic look, scour for fingerless gloves with a thin and not thick knit material to avoid making it look like you're wearing boxing gloves :-)

What Stylish Boots to Wear for a Snowy Place

What womens boots should I wear?

I'm moving to a place that is snowy, and freezing like 8 months out of the year, so that will affect what I can wear. I do not want to wear UGGs! Lol.

I love heels (and that's about all I own), but I'm not sure they're very reasonable for a hilly snowy place.

Should I just suck it up and wear them?!


I definitely think you should suck it up and wear a pair of thick womens winter boots. You're gonna regret wearing high heels there.

I had the same thoughts as you: "I'm not going to buy UGGs or anything that resembles UGGs this season". And guess what I bought an UGG inspired pair (I was kind of forced to because my slouch boots couldn't keep me warm, even though I wore thick wool knee socks) and I'm so glad that I did because they keep my feet dry and warm in the cold and snowy weather.

And not least, they help me keep my feet up instead of my butt down (high heel tend to be slippery in the snow and on icy grounds). Although I do feel a little embarrassed wearing them.. But hey, better than freezing your butt off, right?

But maybe we should reconsider the way we feel about UGGs, I found a couple of stylish and warm UGG winter boots on Zappos. At least they're more refined than the typical moonboot look. They look kind of nice:
