it depends on the person :) Some men wear pantyhose because of the silky feeling or out of medical reasons, however they won't often admit in fear of appearing different, feminine.. and gay :)

Speaking of appearing gay - some straight men are curious about wearing pantyhose but are afraid to appear kinky.

That is precisely the point. There is NO need to tell everyone in great detail repeatedly. Those who do so aren't wearing nylons for their possible usefulness, rather they get a kick out of everyone knowing, they want to be seen in them, they crave for women to approve of them (as this would help assuage the guilty conscience they have). The higher the level of guilt and addiction, the more they have to endlessly talk about it and the angrier they get if anyone dares to point their folly out. Plenty of examples on this thread.

..... Come out of the closet, so to speak. Personally I can understand how publicizing our desire to wear nylons may make it more socially acceptable for us. Things take time. Be satisfied in the knowledge you're not alone in this desire. Wear them when and where you want. Is there an obligation to tell everyone? My entire family found out during my divorce. But after finding out they see me as the same person I always was and the subject rarely if ever comes up. I think we put more pressure on ourselves than is due. I wear nylons everyday, no one sees me in them except my wife, who else needs to know? Wear them, try new ones, look at different websites for pantyhose, wear them under your regular clothes, sleep in them what ever you want to. Don't worry about what others say

I like to wear pantyhose for a myriad of reasons. From the purely practical on down to the sensual. I like the way they make my legs feel after a long, tiring day of being on my feet at work. I also like the smooth, sensual feeling of them when my legs rub against each other while walking. I have recently started shaving my legs before I put on a pair of silky support hose and this has only intensified the feeling. To any guy thinking about wearing pantyhose I can only say, if it feels goods to you, then do it and to hell with what other people might think or say.

No inside information obviously, but the post was a textbook template of a 'how I came to wear tights story'. It would sound more genuine if all that was said was 'a girl friend suggested them as a way of keeping warm in winter' or something. But the whole repetition of how various women were involved, plus the obvious sensual/erotic connotations reveal what is in the mind of the writer. It's a kind of textilic pornography. This kind of thing almost certainly never happens in real life.

Nobody ever talks like this about any other article of clothing. Strange isn't it. Very strange.

Well, I guess it doesn't matter if the last few posts are fictional or not. That is the uniqueness of blogs, people just speak their mind. The bottom line is that most men on this post are on here to share their experiences about wearing nylons. If men were allowed to wear them in public, or maybe a better way of putting it, if men felt free, and comfortable wearing them in public then this blog would not serve any purpose because it would not be, as society describes it, a fetish. Whether it is a fetish or not, does not matter to me. I have been wearing nylons for 30 years and I have been wearing them in public for about 20 years. I wear them to work almost everyday as part of my wardrobe. I don't hide them. The biggest freedom for me was the day I started wearing them as part of my outfit, and not just under my clothes. I know some of you do not want to wear nylons in public, but for me I decided that if men do not wear them in public it will be hard for people to accept. Over the past ten years it has become more acceptable for men to wear because an increasing number of men are wearing them. It is beginning to be more common. I will continue to encourage men to wear them. I personally do not wear tights very often. I mostly wear sheer pantyhose and stockings. If you wear sheer pantyhose or stockings I suggest you shave your legs because the hair on your legs will look silly underneath sheer nylons. Also when wearing nylons with shorts you do not want to wear bulky mens shoes. I suggest wearing a women's loafer or flats. Nylons are very fine and so the shoe has to flow with the leg, and a bulky shoe just does not flow together. I also wear Donna Karren ultra sheers and like the last post they are very smooth. In fact I will often wear two pair because the inner nylon allows the outer nylon to slide more freely on my leg. This reduces snags, it masages my
legs and it feels great as well. By doing this it also allows you the opportunity to blend colors to get different shades. For example if I wear black stockings with black shorts, I will wear a nude pair of nylons under the black stockings. To me it provides a much richer color, and feels great as well.

Alright, I have to confess that I've been a tights wearer for many years. I got hooked on the sensation when I was a kid. There was this girl I was friends with who wore tights all the time, even in the summer! I thought she was nuts. But we were good friends and after one time I ribbed her about her 'tights fetish', he goaded me on about not having worn them. "Don't knock it til ya tried it" she said. Being almost 8" taller than her, it was pretty obvious her tights wouldn't fit me. So, she dragged me off to the department store. We checked out the hosiery section and she found some tights she thought would fit me. And, she made me pay for them! I figured the sales girl would naturally assume the tights were for my girlfriend, but before ringing them up she noticed the tall size. "Uh, these probably aren't going to fit her. She could use a small." That when my girlfriend immediately piped up with a big beaming smile and said "Oh no, they're for HIM. Hehehehe!" Man, was I embarrassed. The sales girl got a good laugh out of it, which helped. She figured this was just a prank on me.

We got home and I went to put them on, and she says to me "no no, you gotta take off your underwear too!" Oh boy. Well, I did that. I sat there on the bed and started putting them on, apparently not the "right way", so my girlfriend helped me out. Of course this was a bit erotic, so I couldn't help but get a stiffie. Long story short, they fit and they fit kinda nice. Very smooth fabric hugging me from my waist to my toes. Wow, not bad at all. I kinda like it actually.

So fast forward some years. Here I am, buying myself some tights in the closeout section, and there's a tall pair of Donna Karan Ultra Sheer tights on sale. The package was torn, but the pantyhose were fine. $10. I thought, why not? I got 'em. Now mind you, I've been a tights snob. No sheer nylons for me as I want opaque all the way! But I'd been reading up a bit on tights for men and noticed a lot of sheer styles. Why would guys want to wear those? They make women's legs look sexy, but on a guy? Nah. Not for me. Still the curiosity kept rising up.

So I get back home and remember how fragile pantyhose can be. I get out a surgical glove and go about putting these things on. Mind you they're control top, nice opaque on top so there's no squashed male business to see (LOL!).

Well, I gotta tell you guys, man oh man was this quite a trip! The pantyhose have a very different kind of effect. They breathe so much more. In fact it kind of feels like it wicks moisture and heat away from the legs, so they feel cool to the touch. And wow, so smooth. If I close my eyes and touch my legs, it's like I'm stroking the legs of a female runner or something. They feel terrific! All those posts I've read about women hating pantyhose. I think it's because they wear the cheap ones. Donna Karan knows how to make terrific hosiery. So, I'm hooked! LOL!!!

I enjoy wearing pantyhose,tights etc. I started at about 12 and I am 35 now. I am happily married and have no problem with my masculinity. I think all men should at least try them one time anyway. You won't be disappointed. There are many options for male specific hosiery on the market now. Do a little searching and try them all. You will love them. Especially Gerbe.

For all the benefits in circulation claimed by wearing pantyhose and tights - in reality, only support hose really help with circulation - has anybody considered just how unhealthy it is for men to wear nylon all day everyday? Let alone at night. Similar to nylon underwear, a static electrical charge is created which can be harmful to certain parts of the male anatomy, which is why cotton is preferable to nylon or polyester. To wear 'nylons' as underwear is particularly bad.
You should remember that next time you are tempted to wear any, and perhaps seek healthier substitutes.

I use to wear Hue pantyhose, they use to have a stw style in a Carmel color that beautiful, silky and soft. It was almost all I wore for a long time. I also wore givenchy body smoothers, those were excellent pantyhose. I use to wear dept store pantyhose then I found Shapings.com. They carry some excellent nylons. I really like their Victoria 15 by Platino are my favorite pantyhose. I sleep in pantyhose everynight. If you're interested in stockings try stockingirl.com they carry the Hanes retro stockings and a very shiny slippery silky smooth stocking from Marissa sandal foot stockings, I order the tan color. I don't wear stockings but as you know by wearing pantyhose and there are times when get turned on sometime skins protrudes through the sheer material of you and it's uncomfortable so I put myself in the foot of the stocking and I think you'll find that feels pretty good. Both websites have great quality nylons and service. Give them a try

I am happy to hear that there are men who wear nylons. What I hope is more of you will feel free to wear them as a regular part of your daily attire. I know that may be hard for each of you and some of you may not even want to, but I know for me once I began wearing nylons in publicly was one of the best things for me. It sounds like most of you just ear them around the house or under your pants, etc. Personally I wear them with pants, or shorts and at home. I also wear women's flats, heels, and boots. Nope no static. Actually I've grown to not like the cold bedsheets against me, so I wear nylons and a t-shirt. Sometimes even a sweatshirt because of the low temps and I live in a house built in the 50's, not well insulated. So the nylons keep ms warm plus I like the feel of pantyhose.
Regarding the other entry some one made about the anger in here. In with you, I don't understand it either. One of things I like about this site is you don't have guys posing as women coming on to us. I don't like comments or flirting from other guys toward me, that makes me sick. I like to chat about nylons and pantyhose (to me they are the same, I refer to pantyhose as nylons), I like to hear about other's pantyhose experiences, what brands and colors they prefer, I like to hear about new nylons on the market. I like mutual respect in here, no judging. We all have the same interest. No anger. Isn't there enough if that going around these days. I really think a couple of you on here get aroused by saying, I get home from work after 18 hours, and I slip on my nylons. If you get all excited by that, that is fine and that is up to you. For me the manning up is a matter of perspective. Isn't a matter doing what you describe. Wear them in public or not in public. Wear them when and where you prefer and what's most comfortable to each of us. I don't wear them in public because I don't feel the need, the urge or desire. I wear them where and when I like. Ive read lits of entries in here. We're a group of guys who like to wear nylons but we have individual ways, places, times and reasons for wearing nylons. Look more closely at the point I was making. There are clearly men who are full of anguish and fear about wearing pantyhose/tights in public. I doubt if there are any who don't feel this way. Personally, I think they are right to feel this, this inhibition is legitimate. Be that as it may, rather than give in to this torture, I said 'man up', be brave and overcome it, fight back and not give in to something that clearly is violating their conscience. It's not manly to surrender to something that makes you look effeminate and kinky, is it? It's weakness to give in, and not strength. Saying 'man up' seems to have struck a raw nerve here.

This is not such an issue with men who wear under running gear etc., as no-one sees this and there is no need for the anguish and guilt. Even here though, a man should still follow his conscience, and if it is uneasy, desist.

As for tolerance, shouldn't the wishes of the majority who don't wish to see men acting this way be respected too? You cannot complain of society being intolerant one moment, and then say you will wear what you like and tough on everyone else the next. The balance is found in certain norms in society, and men prancing about the shopping mall in pantyhose isn't one of them.
If it were, there would be no need for the fear and torment ....

Wife is not at all accepting of it, but I do miss wearing my Silk Reflections Opaque tights...softest tights I have even worn.

I have been wearing on and off since I was 6...not sure what itch it scratches psychologically.

I have worn in public and most people either don't notice or pretend not to. A waitress once asked me and I tolde her about my fetish/desire, she was very curious about it as she'd never seen a man in tights before. Had on some patterend SPANX...great tights if $28 is not an obstacle.

I respect you guys who decide to wear your nylons in the open. Congrats! But for me my personal decision for where and when I wear my nylons has nothing to do with manning up. I like how they feel, how comfortable they are and I like relaxing before bed wearing my pantyhose. I've been sleeping in pantyhose for many many years. I like waking up wearing nylons. This is my preference to and when I wear them. I like the stw hose. Mostly I wear tan colors, darker tans and lots of shine.

As the famous Nike commercial says, Just do it. If you like wearing Nylons but are concerned what others may think then don't wear them in public. If you do not mind what others may think then just do it. I have shared on here before that I wear nylons all the tim. When I first started wearing them I felt awkward sometimes, but I just made the decision that it really did not matter what others may think. Once you do it will be very refreshing to know it is on big deal. It sounds like most of you reading this blog wear tights. I have never worn tights. To me tights are 20 denier or greater. I wear ultra sheer nylons that are between 7 and 10 denier.

It's also interesting that you should use the term 'man-up' as less-than-subtle inference that those of us who enjoy wearing pantyhose are somehow inferior men. Sorry to disappoint you. I have a pretty sizable list of talents, abilities and accomplishments that many men would admire.

To me, part of being manly is to stand up for your beliefs and values without fear of what other think.

You're going to base your opinion on just a few people's perspectives? Well, perhaps you just cherry picked the ones that support your need to denounce the whole idea of men wearing tights as something to abhor.

There are plenty of women who would be threatened by anything that might be perceived as "feminizing" their male lover. And even when discussing the true situation at hand, that it's just a garment that covers the legs, they just can't rise above it. They've got their own issues. But there are also plenty of women who are not threatened. Some may just accept/tolerate it while others would even find it appealing (I've read plenty of testimonies about this from a number of sources).

Likewise there are men who are homophobic, where if they see a guy who does anything that appears feminine, they'll instantly label the guy as gay and wish to bash him upside his head, if not berate him publicly. Those men have their own issues they'd rather not address.

But getting back on topic, this is based on the erroneous premise that tights = women's clothes *exclusively*. Yes, there are plenty produced with the woman in mind, but there are also ones produced for men, aside from the fact that men wear the thicker footless ones for athletics and dance. Think of it like jeans. They are produced and styled for both men and women. And you know what? There are plenty of UNISEX jeans too. The same thing could be thought of with tights, especially if they are opaque and of dark and earth tone colors.

The problem is that there are plenty of men who recognize that there are people out there who will ridicule them for wearing tights, and they struggle with the idea of it. They don't know how to handle it. But there are easy ways around that perception. "Excuse me, but are you wearing tights?" "Well, they're actually men's leggings. They're very warm without the bulk of typical thermal underwear." "Oh... OK." That's all there is to it.

I understand why some of you who do not wear nylons openly may have a hard time comprehending why a man would even want to wear nylons in public. The common misconception, and perception among the general public is this guy must be Gay!!!. I do understand why, but I am far from gay, and most men who wear nylons are not gay. Years ago when I first publicly began wearing nylons I had many people including family members ask me this question. but now after knowing me, I rarely am asked this question. When I leave the house in the morning, I am not thinking oh, I wonder want any one may think with me wearing nylons, I am thinking I wonder if it is too cold to wear shorts today.

I really believe if men wore nylons and did not try to look like a women by wearing wigs etc, and just dressed fashionably then it would become more acceptable. I know because I do this almost every day. I realize not all men who wear nylons feel this way, but I should not be concerned, nor am I if I wear nylons, with flats or heels, and shorts or pants, or a skirt. I hope this makes sense or in a little way is becoming more understandable to those who question it's acceptance. Today one of the ladies I work with complimented me on how I looked. I never try to look outlandish. I had on a white Oxford shirt with a black tie, a pair of black wool shorts, tan stockings and black flats. Not a week goes by when someone compliments me on how I look, so from my perspective I am not hindering the public acceptance of men wearing nylons, I am helping it.

I've taken the path that you've described. I intimated my fetish to my wife in the mid-70s, and she accepted it because she loves ME, not society's concept of the way I should dress.

That stated, I still felt somewhat ashamed and embarrassed when wearing hose around her, so I mostly enjoyed them in private.

But I had the 'great awakening' about a year and a half ago, just before I turned 60. Life IS too short to deny yourself a simple pleasure like wearing a piece of clothing that feels nice against your body.

And so I'm wearing them more frequently, mostly in private, but occasionally with shorts in warmer weather. I don't call attention to myself and nobody seems to notice or care.

I'm fully at peace with the way I am after far too many decades.

Let me put it this way.... one of the most sexy way women can dress are miniskirts/dresses and a beautiful pair of pantyhoses. What makes it sexy is that as a man I am curious to discover more of her legs, that border between not being able to see what she's wearing underneath. Just not to see the crotch. If I would actually see it, the whole exiting part is gone... the magic is gone...
So, that is what is going on in my head with seeing a woman dressed like that.
Now, men are a different case... I don't wanne have the same show like I have with women... it would irritate me. I can envy a man who has a nice built, but I never get this urge to see more, because simply a men's body doesn't appeal to me as being sexual attractive to me.
So, what does it mean to me? That a man in a dress and wearing women's shoes AND pantyhose, is really giving off the wrong signal. It just doesn't look good.
Maybe women see it not this way and would be able to say that a guy looks good in women's clothing, but ask any man about it... most of them wouldn't like it.
I like wearing pantyhose in wintertime and as a fetish, but not in public. Probably never will. For above reasons...

I have a story to tell that I hope will help some of you guys. I too started out with this fetish that innocently happened to me and later felt tortured about as I thought myself abnormal. My real struggle was worrying what women think, that I would never find acceptance, that the fetish would replace my virility for women. The worry was actually making that come true!!!

So many years I wasted with a struggle on this thing. It would be only much later when I would finally give up this attitude and turn to embrace it. And then a magical thing happened. I loved it. But most of all my sexual virility was boosted!! I cannot tell you what I experience in detail but all I can say is that this thing has turned into a bonus, a secret gift. My partner was weirded out at first but when she gave me enough tolerance that I was able to embrace it our sex life went way UP. And then she wondered what magic takes place that the tights are like a Viagra to my sexual psyche. Now she is so happy I told her about it and that I let go of my anguish to enjoy it instead. The only regret is that I did not come to this place like fifteen or twenty years ago.

Whether or not you have a fetish you should just enjoy this and friggin ignore the idiots that might laugh, scoff, or glare at you. Life is too short not to enjoy what little things bring us happiness. Peace.

Okay, I agree with you that some men like yourself wear nylons, but do not wear any other women's clothes. That is fine, but so what. What is your point? Are you trying to justify something? Are you trying to say if a man only wears nylons that this is somehow more acceptable, and it is more justifiable to the general public than a men who may wear a skirt, women's shoes, or shorts? You also seem to conclude that men who do dress this way are more feminine or are closet cross dressers. I disagree with this entirely. I wear nylons 5-6 days a week. I shave my legs almost every day? I don't try to hide it, and is as normal to me as anything else I wear. In the winter when I wear nylons I generally wear women's pants and flats. In the summer I wear shorts almost everyday and I will always wear nylons with them. Does that make me more feminine than you? I may look feminine, but I don't feel any less masculine than you. I also know I am not creating a negative impression at all. In fact I get compliments from people all the time telling me how nice I look. The individuals that create negative impressions on men wearing nylons are those who try and dress and look like a women. I do not try and look like a women. I am a man who just happens to wear nylons. I don't hide it, I promote it and demonstrate it everyday by wearing them in public.

I agree with the previous guy. I've been wearing pantyhose for about 45 years. I started out wearing my sister's old ones. That sounds kind of creepy at the moment. Once I was old enough to get out on my own I started buying pantyhose from the grocery store and covered it up with buying groceries. Then I finally tried a pair if Hanes Silk Reflections from a dept store. Wow! What a difference! I enjoyed buying my hose from dept stores and getting to know the salesgirls along the way. Then I found Shapings.com about 10, or so, years ago. There is such a gigantic difference in hosiery from Europe and the US. In one previous entry from someone, he said they can't afford the expensive hose online. You should really check the pricing at Shapings. They are not much in cost. One pair of the excellent Victoria 15 stw are less than $10:00 a pair. I'd like to suggest save some money and order a couple of pairs, you'll see what I mean. Store bought hose are ok and cost effective but the quality of the hose is great. Call the phone number on the website and talk to the guy. He knows his stuff.
My point? Ive been wearing nylons for a long time and never once have I ever thought I'd want to dress up more than just the hose such as shoes, skirts etc. No desire to act out or be feminine or anything like that. To me they just feel good. Also the support hose are nice for leg pain. I look back in this site and I re-read all the entries. I find controversy, conflict, some control issues, anger, judgement and criticism. Over the years I've worn them I've concluded that no matter the amount of time I spent thinking, wondering, analyzing etc the reason or purpose of why I wear them. I've come to one immutable and clear resolution. It's just part of me. In time others in here "might" come to the same conclusion. After all the self questioning etc I just accept the obvious, I like wearing nylons. I don't concern myself with diagnosing, labeling, therapy or anything. The controversy of why we do what we do, does not change or affect that we do it. Even while we wear them at whatever time we do do we sit there and find out why? I'm guessing no. So after all the expended time and energy of the search for why, it doesn't change the end result that we wear them. I gave it up a long time ago trying to figure it out. I don't give that time anymore. To me it's as much a part of me as eating or drinking.
More than that there's nothing as beautiful than sexy hose on shapely legs of a woman.
So, in conclusion, wear them, enjoy them the way you choose and at some point in time come to terms in your mind with it.

You make a great point about sensual. There is a sensory experience because the epidermis is the largest organ of the body and nerves are softly triggered when wearing snug fitting garments. I know for myself it's an enjoyable feeling as it's a gentle form of hugging. And what do you know, I had a talk with my girlfriend about it some more and she agreed along the same lines (feeling good about the sensation, yet not an arousal).

From what I've read there are plenty of men who maintain just an interest in the tights, no other feminine accessories. So I don't agree that many will resort to skirts and heels if tights become more unisex in fashion. Sure there will be some guys doing it, closet cross dressers and effeminate men who wish to explore a fantasy. But I really do believe there's a much larger group that wouldn't go that route.

Of course it is speculative because we don't have raw data. Only time will tell! Speaking of 140 denier, is that your favorite? What brand and style? Usually denier jumps from 120 to 150 and 200.

I am sure you are right about that. My point about fetishists dominating discussions of this still stands though, I reckon. I agree they will seek out unmoderated forums, but LAUF and the late Geraden explicitly exclude the 'want to wear skirts' etc brigade. And while it is true the discussion on the surface is about fashion or practicality, all too often there are give away sentences that reveal the underlying motive, which is sensual if not sexual.

I don't doubt there are a few who wear, don't see the need to campaign for it and so never appear on forums, but it is not possible to know how many by definition. The fact the remainder either explicitly or implicitly go on about the thrill etc means this is very unlikely to become acceptable, as public wearers are perceived to be acting strangely, to put it kindly. It's not the clothing that is unacceptable, it's the attention seeking and being odd about it.

If it did become acceptable, I reckon current wearers would want to take it one stage further and wear skirts or something else considered feminine in order to maintain the excitement. We are agreed on that too, I suspect!

Hi I juist wanted to drop a little note here to those guys who talks about wearing the expensive hosiery:Well that's fine if you can afford it.But you are not thinking about this,For what you pay for 1 pair of pantyhose or tights I can get 2 or more pair from my local Walmart store.I have looked on the Comfilon.com web sight and I have read the discription of most of the Pantyhose For Men that they sell.They are NO different than Womens Pantyhose with the no fly opening made of the same fabric as regular Pantyhose and I can get at least 3 pair from Walmart for the same price as what they charge for 1 pair and these are just as good.And for you guys who buy and wear Gerbe and others YOU Are buying FORIGN Pantyhose at least the ones I buy and wear are made right here at home in the USA I wear Nononsense Great Shapes and from my Local Fred's Department store I buy and wear Secret Fantasies made i9n Memphis Tennessee.So remember most of US Cannot afford those expensive Pantyhose and Tights due to the Economy.So I'll wear my Nononsense Great Shapes Pantyhose and if no body likes it well to bad.I also save Shipping costs by buying at my Local stores and if your not brave enough to buy them in the store have your Wife get them for you.

Fetishists making frequent appearances on forums discussing men wearing tights is no indication of dominance. The fetishist is far more likely to be seeking out such discussions, while the casual male wouldn't even think of it. So, there's no way to make any kind of accurate accounting.

Also, men describing enthusiasm for the feel of tights on their legs does not mean there is arousal. My girlfriend loves the feel of tights on her legs and went nuts over them when microfiber hit the scene. And no, she doesn't get an arousal out of wearing them. So, a man can enjoy the same sensation for the same reasons.

Does having a fetish matter? Well, the issue was about the fetishist wanting to perpetuate this association with tights, claiming that this is what all men are truly going after. If the public sees men+tights=fetish, forget about it ever gaining any public acceptance. The advantage with public acceptance means more companies will make them for men and we might even see some tasteful clothing styles incorporating them.

But a fetish labeling will likely block that from happening... and, perhaps this is what some fetishists want to happen. They want to perpetuate the current dynamic, because it excites them. Making tights unisex takes away the thrill of bounding over gender identity of clothing. Yet it shouldn't concern them anyway, because they'll still have that with feminine looking tights (frills, bright colors, super shiny, etc), which will only increase in availability as the tights for women trend continues.

I would say the majority of men who wear pantyhose/tights have a nylon fetish and this can be established by:

1) The fetishist element nearly always dominate any discussion of this subject when it comes up.

2) Even in moderated forums intended to suppress the weird comments and only have contributions from those who claim to wear for fashion or comfort, the fetish element is near the surface, and with few exceptions they are rarely able to suppress it completely. Even on LAUF and Geraden's blog you have men enthusing about the feel and "thrill" of when they put them on, and how they long for this to be accepted in public. They clearly want to be seen in public, despite the fear this engenders (a tacit admission it is not regarded as normal). Add to this the frequent mention of women approving what they do, and you see the sensual/sexual connection. Most women certainly see what is really going on, and are not fooled by the 'it's only clothing' angle.

Perhaps the question should be 'does this matter', but the way some men carry on about it, I think it clearly does matter, it's a kind of addiction and not the harmless hobby claimed.

Cheap tights don't fit that well and wear out sooner. You are much better off buying better tights. Not only will you enjoy how they feel but they will last longer. Get to know the online sites that sell tights. Sometimes they run specials and you can get some super deals. Imagine getting Falke truly opaque tights for just $18! They normally go for $59 at Bloomingdales.

The most important thing about tights is finding a size that fits. There are all kinds of reviews appearing on blogs that can help you get an idea about what tights to look for. I recommend visiting blogs like hosieryformen.blogspot.com and tightsformen.wordpress.com.

I guess I was around 8 or so when I first wore a pair of pantyhose. From that moment on pantyhose , stockings and knee highs have been in my thoughts. There is simply nothing to compare with how nice they feel. I have never purchased expensive ones like Wolfords but even he cheapest ones feel wonderful. I loved the feel of them long before I had an erotic connection with them. Admittedly they are now a major part of my erotic thought life. Sex while wearing them is outstanding. Hello to all of you posting on here. Someone below asked for anyone to share their experiences. Today was a great day. I was with family and friends. In my humble opinion nothing comes close to spending time with family. You can be yourself, you can have great and honest discussion and you can feel free to dress the way you want. I have been wearing nylons for years, and I have been wearing them to family gatherings for many years. I did feel uncomfortable when I first started wearing them in public, but now it has been quite a long time and most people are quite acceptable of it. I can not say I do not get double looks from time to time, but I understand that not everyone who sees me understands or accepts it. Of course when some people see me they draw conclusions, like I am gay, or a TG,TV or TS. If a label can be put on me it would be a cross dresser, however I do not try to look like a woman. From my waist up I wear men's shirts, etc, and I do not wear make up. From my waist down I generally wear womens shorts, nylons and women's flats. I work out regularly, so I do have a nice body, and I do shave my legs. If you are out of shape you may have a harder time being acceptable. Today I wore a black turtleneck sweater, balck wool shorts, Hue Ultra sheer suntan nylons and black pointed flats. I don't try and dress outlandish. I really believe if men want to dress this way, then you just need to do it. I understand it is not easy. It definitely is uncomfortable at first, but it does become easier and more acceptable the more you do it. Some may also call this a fetish. i dance ballet and so i must wear tights. they're part of the uniform and that's all. i don't feel any special love for wearing them and quite frankly i'm never going to wear them outside of being in ballet. oh and yes i'm a straight guy who is married to a wonderful gal. she wears opaque tights sometimes in the cooler months and i never gave it any thought. she has nice legs and i'd rather see them showing instead of hidden under nylon.

sorry i really can't relate to you guys that like to wear tights and pantyhose or find them arousing. but whatever you want to do please avoid wearing them in public unless they're thick footless running tights. man that guy in shorts and sheer pantyhose i saw in a mantyhose article just looks silly and weird. yeah you can go ahead and do it but definitely expect most people to look at you like you're queer or getting off on a fetish. keep it under your trousers and you'll really be better off.

I've only worn nylons or should I say pantyhose over the years a wide variety of brands. The more sheer and smooth the better. We all have our reasons for wearing them. Frankly I love putting them on, wearing them, sleeping in them, fucking in them, I judge no one else who wears them or not. During one of my visits to the wolford store I was buying nylons. The sales woman asked me if I wore knee hi's stockings or pantyhose I boldly said pantyhose. While I was there I saw a new style and I admired them she I could try on. A pair, they had extras I could wear. I said no because I knew I slipped them on I'd buy them. We all know wolford pantyhose are expensive and worth it. So now I mostly wear pantyhose ranging in cost from $8.00 up to $15.00 per pair. Excellent pantyhose. Stockingirl.com has great stockings masturbating. That's a partially correct observation. You seem to have no clue about medical conditions that require compression hosiery. On a hot day, it's uncomfortable to wear compression tights underneath long pants, so some men wear shorts. Once that's done, it's fashion. Outside of the medical need, then yes it's true that men would only wear them because they like them. That doesn't mean they must have a fetish! YOU are quite naive to think that most men who wear tights have a fetish. Maybe this is true in your circle of friends, but it's not in mine.

Let's face it, we both have limited information. In your experience, it's the majority. In my experience, it's the minority. I don't think we'll ever have a clear idea on just how many men are wearing pantyhose or tights due to a fetish, because that would require a very candid poll. It's likely it'll never happen.

Whatever the inspiration, the whole idea is for there to be more public acceptance for guys wearing tights for fashion. If you insist on slapping a fetish label on it, you make it much more difficult. A clothing designer puts a guy in black knickers and black tights on the runway. Everybody turns to look and the chatter booms. No, he's not wearing high heels. No, he's not wearing a dress. It's actually a masculine look. No fetish required.

Yes I'm all for the "who care what anyone else thinks", but it can only go so far. If I walk into work wearing that tights and knickers outfit, it'll be disruptive. HR might even say that I can't do that, as it's not acceptable dress code for men. Maybe there might be a fashion company in Manhattan that has a mix of straight, gay, cross dressing and transgendered guys on the staff and so this outfit would pass with no problem. But the point I'm trying to make is that it should eventually be OK in most places. At present it is definitely not.

I'm with softsilkyhoselover. This whole thing started out as a fetish for me. I innocently had a curiosity about tights as a child because I remembered when my mom used to dress me in them as an infant. But when she caught me wearing them one day, it was forbidden & the tights became taboo. She said they're for girls not boys! But no, it was right there, eager to be fed. And you know what I did? I indulged it. I bought more tights to replace the ones I'd either worn out or threw away. Today? I sometimes get aroused but it never goes beyond that. Maybe part of it is the memory of what once was. But for the most part it's just the snug comforting feeling on my legs that I enjoy, what I originally set out to only enjoy as a small boy. They keep me warm when worn on very cold days and nights. When they're a good quality pair they fit extremely well without any bagging anywhere. If you're a cross dresser and friends with many others, and you all confess to each other that slipping into silky pantyhose gives you sexual excitement, then you're going to believe that this is probably the case for all men. But you couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is that cross dressers are an extreme minority of men, based on polls and observations (my own as well as many others).

I've corresponded with quite a number of men who enjoy wearing full footed fashion tights purely for the comfort. That act of putting them on conjures up feelings no different than putting on underwear or footless running tights. I'd venture to say that much less than half of men who wear tights have no fetish about them.

In kind, it's interesting to look at how women feel about them. For years when I worked in the corporate world, I knew several women who absolutely hated wearing pantyhose, but most didn't seem to mind and a few consciously enjoyed wearing them. As for opaque tights, they were long viewed as being solely for adolescent girls and that an adult woman wears sheer pantyhose instead. However, that view has thankfully changed, and now you see women yet again embracing the idea of colorful opaque tights. The fabrics are clearly superior from the past and create a smooth snug feeling that is very comfortable. I see so many fashion blogs where women boast about having "countless" pairs of tights in their wardrobe and that they absolutely love wearing them. They not only look good, but feel good. And no, they certainly don't have a fetish about them. Men should be able to enjoy the same experience, no fetish required.

I'm in tune with most of the things stated in the first paragraph of the previous post.

For my part of it, I wear pantyhose because I like the way they feel, and I also like the way my legs look when I'm wearing them. I do have a pantyhose fetish, there's no denying it. Those are my reasons for wearing them - I don't claim health issues or keeping my legs warm, etc.

One thing that's somewhat different for me is that, now that I'm older, the raw sexual feelings have subsided quite a bit. It used to be that slipping into nylon gave me an instant erection. At 61, this doesn't happen anymore. I do get enjoy sexual arousal in my hose, but it's not the instant turn-on that it used to be. I've also taken to wearing satiny panties under my pantyhose, and love the feeling of touching myself and being touched while I'm wearing them.

I'm married and my wife knows of my fetish. She accepts it, but doesn't heartily embrace it. We go to buy pantyhose together. We love each other and try to give the gift of acceptance of each other's kinks.

This is quite the interesting post. To answer the question, do men like wearing nylons? Yes, definitely some men do. There is absolutely no question in my mind. Men can give many reasons why he wears nylons. Some of them are, It keeps my legs warm, or I wear them for circulation, or I am on my feet all day long, etc,etc. However from a man who wears nylons everyday, I really believe most men who wear them do so because of the sexual arousal it brings, and we just like the feel of them on our legs. Also when men actually see their own legs with nylons, they are lusting at the site of their legs, The site of their leg with nylons on actually creates the fantasy they would like in a lady.
I know this is not for all men who wear nylons, but for the vast majority. If men really want to wear them all the tome, then you just need to do it. Like the Nike Commercial, just do it. I have the luxury of working in the industry that is acceptable to it and that is the fashion. I am a hair stylist, so I am working with five women and one man, so I wear nylons to work almost every day. About fifteen years ago I decided to not worry or be concerned about what others may think if I wore women's clothes. Once I made the decision and wore nylons a lot of the fear of being seen in public went away. I recommend to all who are reading this post that if you want to advance the acceptance of men wearing nylons, then you need to step out and wear them. Try to dress in a manor that does not draw attention. Wear the right color nylon for the occasion. First and for most please shave your legs. I have to shave about four times per week.

I've come to know a fellow in France who has a blog about tights and has attracted quite a few friendly women to come by and post nice comments. One of them even came by and posted a friendly comment on mine (tightsformen.wordpress.com). I live in the USA. I've also had a couple of girlfriends who were either tolerant of my wearing tights or actually enthusiastic about it. Only a couple felt a threat to my masculinity and insisted I not do it. But when the word "mantyhose" got a buzz in the blogosphere, I saw quite a number of American women giving the thumbs down, several pretty much saying that any man who wears pantyhose is a fag who longs to be in drag.

Again, I have to say that the atmosphere about men's fashion seems to be a bit more flexible this time around, so perhaps it will become socially acceptable for men to wear tights for fashion in the not too distant future. It's easy to become anxious about it, wishing it were the case already. But we have to be patient. It takes a long time to change social conventions. Let it happen slowly, and it'll have a better chance of having more staying power. :-)

i look forward to the time when the stereo typical assumption that wearing tights and sheer hose is not for women only is here. Along with what ever the reason is to wear them, there is the therapeutic benefits to them. Leg pain on a daily basis is a difficult thing to manage. no matter the medication used for the pain support hose do make he difference. historically, hose were worn by our founding fathers. I have found there are many women out there who are not put off by a man in hose for what ever the reason.

Back in 1998, Wolford tried to cross the barrier and released tights for men labeled as "waist socks." They were super expensive and just a mediocre design with some construction problems. They were discontinued about a year or two later. So, not only did they price themselves out of the largest customer base, but the market at the time just wasn't ready yet for the idea of men overtly wearing tights.

Today it's perfectly acceptable for men to wear tights for athletics, but it's still "awkward" for fashion and completely unacceptable in the workplace.

Asking "Do Men Like Wearing Pantyhose" kind of nudges the idea into the cross-dressing/fetish zone. I'd ask it more like "Some men are wearing tights/pantyhose; guys, why the interest?" There are plenty of practical reasons. And of course, there are some who have a fetish thing for it... but I'm convinced that it's a small minority. Public perception is otherwise, and that's the problem.

The female association with tights and pantyhose is so strong, that it will take some time to change this. There is already a growing awareness of men wearing them for sports reasons (football players, jockeys, and others), but for fashion it still doesn't seem "right." With the right style presented, it can work. But at this point you absolutely cannot try it with sheer hosiery. It must be opaque all the way. Trousers that taper to the knee, with the calves exposed, similar to knickers in the olden days. And the shoes can't be clunky. They need to be slim and streamlined, while still looking masculine (definitely not prominently pointed). Let this show up on the fashion runways a couple of times across the next year or two, and then expand on it. How that is done will be left up to the designers, who are experts in defining trends.

If men visibly wearing tights catches on, it will probably be a trendy style that will last for a short time. It will need to fade away and then come back again. The main problem is that a huge number of males are overweight (in the USA, predominantly), and this style definitely DOES NOT WORK for them. Once the average guy is established to be of healthy weight and proportions, I think the style of wearing tights will be able to get a foot hold and continue on.

I'll venture to say that at this time, the odds are against the style being successful for the long run. But the seeds need to be planted, get the style out there, and then when it is tried again in a couple of years, it won't seem so unfamiliar and difficult to accept (again, assuming the average male population is more fit, capable of pulling of the style well).

Please don't call them "pantyhose" or "mantyhose"... tights are a different story. They are more "unisex" in perception, although for fashion they still telegraph "female" though. And that's part of the problem, in terms of acceptance for men. Women don't worry about having a slightly masculine style in an outfit, and frequently incorporate masculinity into their styles. But for men (and I'm talking about straight males), a hint of the feminine is a fearful thing. This is because of the macho ego, which every man has to some degree. "We are male, not weak and effeminite."

Funny enough, tights were invented by men and worn only by men in the Renaissance time. The fashion trends shifted, men covered their legs, and women uncovered theirs... and started wearing tights. Even though men wore tights for acrobatics and ballet, they have been exclusively worn by women in fashion. So, a man casually wearing tights would be laughed at, because it would be a sight of a man wearing a woman's garment.

Thankfully the trend has shifted... and now men are wearing lycra tights for running and other athletics with hardly any ridicule (except from maybe the homophobic clown here and there). But for thinner and more comfortable tights, men were left with only women's branded tights only up until recently. Tights made explicitly for men are available from a number of manufacturers, including a couple like Gerbe and Adriane that have been long established in making women's hosiery. But some brands like Comfilon are only for men, and craft their tights to be anatomically oriented for the male. Terrific, except that they're SUPER expensive! Some makers like Falke produce tights in a larger size that can accommodate a taller male comfortably, for a good quality product at a lesser price. Yet again, there's a woman on the package, so point blank it is labeled as "women's hosiery."

Anyway, I have a feeling that the trend will continue because it has a strong momentum, but I just wish the flamboyant males would exercise some restraint! If they sport tan and shiny tights/pantyhose overtly in public, running around saying "Yea, I'm wearing tights honey!", it will make it a much greater struggle for tights to be worn by the average male. The feminine and cross-dressing perception with tights will be harder to push down in favor of a more unisex appeal. It can be done, and I think WILL be done, over time. But I'd rather it take just another couple of years rather than a decade!

So to the question, NO I don't like wearing pantyhose, but I like wearing tights. They are simply comfortable, and provide a great "liner" for wearing under trousers. No uncomfortable squeeze from sock bands, no sagging socks, no chafing from underwear edges, and a nice smooth glide of pants over the legs. Plus, a welcome layer of warmth in cooler months.

Someone mentioned wearing them when bicycling. I live in a house built in 1950. Not as air tight as what is built today. It was in the high 30's last night, i wear pantyhose to sleep in every night, they do help keep me warm. Yeah and they feel good to. My wife massages my legs in my nylons and then other things begin to happen. Im going to order some new pantyhose from shapings that were made for men. They look great and the shine looks great. They're not cheap but great pantyhose are worth it. In Europe there is a large contingent of men wear pantyhose over there. I saw a video on youtube yesterday where in Germany many men wear pantyhose. i understand the bible's reference on men wearing pantyhose, the same bible was around when in the early years of the USA men wore hosiery. Maybe not for the same reasons, but they wore them. I wish i had a job where i could wear pantyhose all the time

I wear pantyhose to sleep in. I enjoy how they feel and i like the shine as well. After working all day it feels good to slip on a comfortable smooth pantyhose. When i first started wearing pantyhose in roughly 1967 they were no wear as nice as the pantyhose we have today. Although i wore them any way. Leggs Sheer Energy stw pantyhose had just come out and even at that age i wanted to try on a pair of those nylons. But at that age i found it a challenge to get a pair. They sure looked good. I think Leggs pantyhose were the start of change with Lycra in pantyhose. I have to say that the quality of pantyhose is greatly improved over the many years. I think most guys who wear pantyhose will agree the quality of hose is very high now. I think its great that there are hose makers are making pantyhose for men. Shapings.com has sunsatin 8's that just as sheer and smooth as regular pantyhose with an access panel for being able to use yhe rest room with ease. However, ive been wearing regular pantyhose for many years and i will continue to. I like being able to relax at the end of the evening in pantyhose and go to sleep in them

James - it's time for me to take a break from this subject. As you asked - but I would have thought my views on this were pretty clear by now - some men wear for legitimate reasons, such as warmth in winter or the need for better circulation (compression). This relates to tights rather than sheer pantyhose I would have thought. If that is the case with you, you don't need to justify it, you're not on trial. If your conscience is bothering you about it that is something different, and I think you should either stop feeling guilty or, if you can't, find an alternative and throw you pantyhose away for the sake of a clear conscience.

Now those who clearly wear for sensual/fetish reasons could argue that there is nothing particularly harmful about that (though I wouldn't agree with them), but what they can't argue (and note no-one has yet tried) is that they don't half make themselves look silly in what they post on the subject! You only need to stir them up a bit over it and you soon see they are enslaved by hose and do not have a clear conscience - something they need to deal with rather than tell me to go away, not bother them and stop judging!! They very definitely need to grow up, man up, and throw their 'nylon legwear' away!

The only tights I wear are for cycling and running, and I only found this column by accident. I've not set out to create trouble for anyone who wears tights/pantyhose. You have made a couple of valid points about this, e.g. shouldn't those who don't want to wear cut some slack for men who do. That's fair comment for people like me who don't relish the idea of seeing men in pantyhose (if not tights) in public. Imposition can be a two-way process.

I've only ever directed criticism at those who obsess or make up silly stories about all this, this is not the same thing as condemning those who wear for 'real' reasons. The weirdos deserve criticism, they earn it, and it's clear some have a guilty conscience, and many let the male half of the population down with their silliness. It's not as though they are original or even funny. I think I have kept the distinction consistently, but must admit I like pulling the rug from under the (pantyhosed) feet of the fantasy storytellers.

One of the anonymouses said this was becoming a three-man band, actually fair comment, and I don't feel the need to keep repeating everything, or I could become as bad as the adorers in going on and on about the subject!

There is room for a legitimate discussion of this subject for and against, but the only couple of times I have ever seen this tried, 'sensible' wearers are submerged in a sea of sensual nonsense, mostly predictable (e.g. Kevin), and which ruins the discussion. This thread is no exception.

I work in construction, which is a real man's job. The girls in the office suggested pantyhose for when it gets cold, but I thought of trying to squeeze into that thin, sheer silky material without falling over. Plonk. Wouldn't it be embarrassing if anyone ever noticed my hairy legs and knobbly knees under the shiny, smooth pantyhose. Hardly likely to keep you warm anyway, far too thin. Fine for women, I guess, but not something for men, completely unsuitable. Dont women know how tough I am against cold weather, not some ballet dancer prancing around?

For me i wear them for numerous reasons warmth, comfort, they feel good, they're smooth to the touch, i like the slippery feeling and the shine. I like putting them on. I work construction and being on ladders all day cause leg muscle pain. Im 55 years old and in my 42 years of wearing nylons ive learned that support pantyhose really take the pain away. I put them on before i ho to sleep, i wake up in no pain at all. But of course they shiny smooth soft and a little slippery. I wish i could wear them to work, but that would not go over vefy well.

I live in a mountain town, julian, ca. 50 miles east of sa diego. It gets cold up here at night and we do get snow and low temps. Every now and then I 'll wear them under my jeans at work or just doing errands. But i find that the hose dont slide against jeans as well as i wish they would. Its saturday and i woke up in those nylons. I dont like the feeling of cold bedding so the pantyhose help me stay warm, plus they feel good. Its nice to feel the nylons first thing in the morning. Over the long years ive been wearing them i've learned to pick out the best pantyhose. I wear mostly stw hose.

James, I wear nylons as well. What I was sharing had to do with this blog becoming a place for men sharing their pantyhose fantasies. There are other places for that. If you read some of the threads, you would have read That I wear nylons. I probably wear nylons 3 to 4 times per week, and sometimes more. In fact I do not hide it. I wear them in public all the time. I wear them mostly with dress shorts and generally with womens flats, so don't be offended by me. I was just commenting on where I saw the blog heading. If anyone is promoting the wearing of nylons for men it is me, since I wear them in public. I just try to be unassuming. I do not draw attention to myself. Yes, I do enjoy wearing nylons, and yes I do think they are sexy, my personal goal however is to make them a part of a mans wardrobe, not just some wierd fetish some people think that it is. 1. You seem to think I take all this very very seriously. I don't. I find men wanting to wear pantyhose eccentric perhaps, but not necessarily deserving of mocking/humiliating because of this. To repeat: I'm not that bothered. Even debunking the 'it all began when my mom forced me to wear sheer white tights and a tutu at the Christmas party' stories is partly tongue-in-cheek - just like some of your posts have been.

2. I have never seriously made any claim to be a psychologist - a lot of it is bunk. @Kevin: We get it -- slippery, sheer, silky, shiny, yada yada, ad infinitum. Your latest post comes across like 'Hmmmm... what story can I tell today?' For cryin' out loud, there's almost no variation to your blathering and nobody particularly cares which pantyhose you're wearing at any given time. Give it a rest. Go start your own blog and then you can engage in equal parts of mental and physical masturbation.

Or join a pantyhose forum where others who are also intent upon detailing every second they spend in hose can hang on your every word.

We have already had Kevin's alleged "exploit" after seeing a women in tights, and now it's getting even worse. What a complete and utter fruitcake.

A famous football coach had his whole team wear panty hose and put shorts over the top. this was years ago before the leggins and all the stuff they have now. tights just were not made in mens sizes. now you see footy guys in training and they have the black shorts or full length tights under. but when this coach years ago did it there was an uproar it was in the paper , they had to make it so macho and make the guys out to be so tough and explain it was for their muscles to stop cramp and the team got so ridiculed it had to stop. Precisely! Just giving my opinion - though judging by the response of the pantyhose adorers, I think on target much of the time. To repeat, I don't have a PhD in psychology, nor do I suffer from PhD 'Pantyhose Dementia' either.

Pantyhose and the men who claim to wear can be an entertaining study in human foolishness and stupidity. I note once again we have contributions claiming 'a whole school of girls' saw a man wearing and talked to him about it (complete with the usual spelling mistakes in this kind of post), and 'mick' has even illustrated my previous analogy of see-through swimwear in his freaky fetish fantasy of ficticious folly.

Of course it's possible some of the stories are just a wind-up, but it's all fiction whether intended as misinformation to deceive or some poor soul actually thinks anyone will really believe it. Franky, I just don't care. Still, it's worth puncturing the balloon and spoiling their fun regardless of the intent!

When i use to run, i'd put a pair of Leggs Sheer Energy in Suntan. Id run down the busy street areas night and the shine from stw pantyhose was obvious to anyone around. Once i ran by a couple of girls on my second lap one of the girls said "nice nylons".
Another time i had just come out of the store from buying some new nylons. James - if you look, I've already said by and large I'm not bothered about men who want to wear pantyhose/tights, except in public where there may be unsavoury, creepy reasons for this. Otherwise no strong feelings either way.

What I've done here though is to harangue the tights biographies and myths brigade, in part just to see the response, to stir them up! They don't like it because it takes away the thrill of sharing the thrill of wearing, even when the thrill is only a product of their fevered imaginations.

Wow Anonymous, whilst avoiding answering any of my 'psychoanalysis', still thinks I am the goof. You only need to look at a couple of ongoing tights discussions like this one to see the vast majority of men (98%) seem to lose all sense of self-respect and control when it comes to this subject. Why?

Take Kevin as an example. He once distanced himself from the weirdo element, but has written the best part of 30 posts simply to repeat endlessly the words "nylons", and "slippery" "silky" "sheer" "in bed" etc. etc. If he can repeat this ad nauseum, then I can go on about how strange this is, sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander after all.

If men 'like wearing', that's the title of the thread, but it was not I suspect an invitation for some men to vent their obsession. This obsession, and the potential for men to be feminised, is what I object to. So there you go!

Clearly you are interested in my psychological assessment of your post, so here is a free consultation:

The post contains the classic implicit appeal for female approval of men wearing tights - 'Mary' and friends. "Women are turned off by a guy in nylons when he is wearing them to get off or for self gratification" - yes, but that must cover 98% or more of men who claim to wear. Even 'Mary' agrees most of what's here is fetishy! And what do 'awkward nylons' look like?

Then there are inconsistencies. "I don't try to look like a freak, or a drag queen" is followed by " If you are going to wear nylons wear them with shorts, or a *skirt*". Of course men wearing skirts (happens all the time) aren't drawing attention to themselves or being freaky. No, this is "acting normal".

Even in a short post, the story is inconsistent: " I wear nylons all the time" versus " I wear nylons three to four times a week".

So here we have a man who fantasises about wearing stockings and a garter (and a skirt), who gets advice from women about how to look good in such gear and have a coordinated wardrobe like women do (mustn't let this malfunction), who knowing this is weird - whilst trying to pretend he is against the fetish angle - projects this on to me as being the one who is 'weird'.

The wonder is that pantyhose and tights are as far as I know worn from the waist down, but they seem to restrict the flow of blood to the brain.

If this is what it does to them, surely this is a cause for sheer, slippery, silky, smooth concern.

From the couple of discussions I have seen on this, womem are not offended by men wearing sheer tights for a 'genuine' reason, bad circulation being one of them. If you tried to justify it by saying it can prevent heart attacks or strokes, though, they wouldn't believe you, as tights can only improve leg circulation.

If you said that, they might think you have a 'thing' about wearing them, and this is what freaks them out as they find it creepy. They don't like the thought of men in sensual women's clothes. I'm afraid Kevin is doing this very thing again by going on about how he loves the 'sheer smooth slippery' feel of pantyhose. Women will wonder why he wears in bed unless this is some sort of fetish. It's not something women ever do, is it, and they are the experts on the subject.

It's an interesting point you make, but I don't really think you can complain women are selfish if they don't like men wearing. I think many women have far stronger views on this than I would.

In as much as like sleeping in my pantyhose it feels pretty good to wake up in nylons. It feels good to feel that smooth sheer material on me. They are so smooth to the touch. I do wear black opaque tights between 50 to 120 deiner cos it my favour, i have quite lots of wolford tights but it quite expensive.... Remember if u sit too long then u would lose your legs by blood clots as tights can help to protect.

Kevin - your post really surprises me. What is so difficult about my statement that 'I'm not keen on men wearing but not that bothered' that has made you feel you are being got at? You did see what I was getting at with the analogy?

I only ever realised this was an issue when I stumbled across it when looking for info on 'men's sports/running tights', which gets you sites about men and tights in general as well, with some very disturbing stuff being written.

The theme is men liking them, so saying so is OK. Your first post seemed to distance you from the weirdo element, which is what I have been poking holes in.

Two things: if you wear with a clear conscience, fine. There's no need to justify it. If, however, you are obsessed with tights, cannot think about anything else or fantasise about them or in any way have a guilty conscience about them, then you need to deal with this. There are plenty of men where this is the case, but only you know if this applies to you or not. There's no point projecting your guilty conscience on to me if that is the case.

Second, I only ever saw through the fake stories on a forum where a very articulate woman systematically showed them up for what they are. The tights fiction writers got very angry at being exposed, and I've tried this out and found the same thing a couple of times. No need to get too serious about it. Men who wear for genuine reasons don't get agitated - though few and far between.

I may or may not post again, as even arguing against the fantasies can mean you are getting preoccupied with men and pantyhose/tights, and this in itself start becoming something as weird as the oddball community who can't think about anything else. Perhaps the subject has 'run' its course.

I have been wearing nylons for 30 years. If you want to wear nylons in public but you are afraid of the ridicule you might receive, and the possibility of getting caught, then you are not ready to go in public. Many men want to wear nylons in public but are terrified by someone they know seeing them. This is a legitimate concern and one that needs careful consideration. It has to be right for you. The most important thing I have found is to be normal. Anyone reading this will say, men wearing nylons is not normal, and they are right. However It does not mean you can not wear them. If you want to wear them in public so you get sexual gratification by it, then you are doing it for the wrong reason. That is like someone saying they like to drink so they can get drunk. That is the wrong reason to drink. People do it for this reason, but it is the wrong reason to drink. Believe me when I dress up I want to look sexy, but I don't try to draw attention to myself by dressing weird or like a drag queen. I wear what I consider normal clothes. Try to dress in a way that looks fashionable. For example, today I wore a polo dress shirt, blue dress shorts, tan nylons and a one inch heel. It looked nice, it didn't draw attention to myself, and I wasn't trying to get sexually aroused. Also, if you are going to wear nylons you really need to shave your legs. Nylons with hair under them looks really bad, and it does not take long to shave if you do it every two to three days.

James - if you read my post again, you will see I think it selfish of men to insist on wearing pantyhose if it embarrasses their other half. If your sister doesn't mind, this isn't an issue, but if she were to be offended if you wore when she had friends round for example, wouldn't it be selfish to insist on your right to wear?

Kevin - I generally think psychology is bunk, but looking at what makes people tick is fair. I don't really like men publically wearing, but I'm not that bothered about it. What I don't like are the fake stories.

An analogy: imagine someone writing about how they LOVE modern nylon swimwear. Others then join in about how brief they like them to be, how they show off their figure when wet, and someone will say how theirs are even a bit sheer and how a couple of women 'complimented them on their brief, slightly see-through nylon swimwear the other day'. Now there's nothing wrong with swimwear providing it's modest, but the fantasies and fetish element, which are almost certainly not true, make men look idiots to be writing such stuff. And you can't be blamed for thinking them a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic.

Well I've been wearing pantyhose now for a about 4 months! Wow they make my legs feel good! I just shaved my legs for the first time last night they feel so awesome now! I'm not gay but is it better to keep them up on shaved legs? My wife didn't really like that I shaved but how could I make or feel better about it? Pantyhose is so comfy to wear to bed and my leg pain is gone in the morning!

I'll make no judgements about you or why you wear nylons, because i just dont care why you do or dont, where you do, when you do or dont. For me with the "shiny slippery" thing my nylons remind me of when women did wear nylons heels and skirts. Long shapely sexy legs are an absolute turn on. That's not bad, actually. But we can't avoid discussing how others might react to male pantyhose/tights wearers just because their feelings might be hurt, especially as they themselves 'don't care' what others think. Isn't getting all emotional about it rather feminine or wimpy?

Wouldn't you agree, though, that something is strange about wanting to repeat the words 'Shiny sheer slippery silky smooth soft pantyhose'? It's little to do with psychology, it just plain odd.

James - this can cause hurt and anguish to wives and family of men who are addicted to it. It is perceived to be humiliating for a man to be so feminised in the eyes of some. That may not apply in your case, but it does for others, and it it selfish to inflict this on family and friends.

If men just wore the things, it might not be such an issue, but for each one who does that, twenty will come along and write pages of fiction about how they LOVE pantyhose etc. etc. I think it legitimate to point out how strange this is, thereby running a stick long the bars of the cage and seeing how they react to the noise.

Damn! These nylons feel good. Im watching tv wearing a pair of stw tan sheer shiny slippery pantyhose. Very soft too. The shine of my nylons in the light looks great. It felt so good putting these pantyhose feels so good. Im sure you know the feeling of an erection inside sheer pantyhose. Sometimes very sheer nylons the surface of the skin can come through the nylon. To solve the problem i use an equally sheer stocking over it. Not only does it solve the problem but my wife likes the feel of it in a stocking and ...uh.... I dont mind that she does. So the subject question is "Do men like go wear pantyhose?" yeah this one does. My wife likes it too. We share. We both wear. over the many years ive been wearing pantyhose the subject of the mental issues of us wearing nylons. So very many people want to attach mental health issues to those of us who wear pantyhose. My mom didnt love me, or I have latent female issues or do you want to be a woman or are you gay and the list goes on and on and on. I like blue sweat shirts to work in rather than gray, is that saying if I wear the gray shirt I'll be sad? no I just like the color blue. I love peanuts but I cant stand peanut butter. Once again, we've had the justification for male tights wearing that men did it first, and women stole the idea. This won't wash, as nylon tights were only invented some 50 years ago, and were only marketed to women. That they are for women is still almost universally the case.

As for this going in a psychological direction, it might be that men like wearing pantyhose in order to shock or for some other reason, so it's fair comment to discuss this. Wearing in public and not caring what others think is liable to be seen as selfish if it causes embarrassment to the onlookers. It can cause wives very real hurt and anguish, so even if men 'like it', it might be something wrong, or at least if this is the case, something to refrain from. The desire to wear should not override consideration for the feelings or views of others.

I live up in the mountains in a small town outside san diego. Its starting get cool in the evenings. I sleep in pantyhose all year long any way but in the winter its pretty nice slip into smooth pantyhose. The humidity is gone and those sheer smooth slippery pantyhose feel so good. Has anyone else looked at the shapings.com? The pantyhose they have are great. For years that's where ive been getting nylons. Ive got about 300 pairs nylons from them and over the years ive tried almost every pair they have at least once. They also have pantyhose made for us. Take a minute and check it out

Okay, let's get back to the question, yes of course. But please, if you are wearing nylons please shave your legs, and don't dress like a drag queen, dress with style, look presentable. If you are going to wear a skirt or shorts, then wear flats or heels, not some bulky men's shoes.

I'd like to see it focused back on the original question: Do Men Like Wearing Pantyhose?

The answer choices are quite simple, and shouldn't prompt excruciating discriptions of nervous office workers and energy drinks, and the attendant foofaraw. We don't need your life story or daily episodic replays.

I like wearing pantyhose. I occasionally wear them with shorts in public, and I don't care what anybody thinks about it.

There are two issues. One is discussing wearing sheer tights by men, which some people like, others find eccentric, and others don't care.

Mixed in with this are the infamous "biographies", which in many cases are clearly fictional fantasies or wish lists, other cases not quite so clear cut. Even this might not matter, but inventing things and pretending they are true is a serious moral failure. Not only that, but men very often demean themselves in what they write, and to some extent insult the intelligence of the reader. It's hardly a decent thing to inflict fetishist fantasies on others, surely. It's this second aspect about being truthful that is important, rather than a strange attachment to nylon.

Now it's possible you are telling the unvarnished truth. At least you have avoided the 'my mum made me/my girlfriend suggested wearing' panythose pseudo-biographies which have been thoroughly debunked earlier. Fictional fantasies abound, don't they.

However, you also say "For most guys who wear PH openly, they want glances" which you would have to agree makes a story about someone noticing your legs in nylon suspicious, it's really a wish to be seen in them, it is precisely what you want. Notice how James comes along to say how he wants people to notice he's wearing pantyhose. Why do supposed public wearers want anyone to notice?

The other more powerful reason for doubting is the simple fact that pantyhose are, for practical purposes, never actually ever seen being worn by men in public. Even the LAUF forum devoted to this subject tights advocates admitted they virtually never ever saw anyone else wearing them, and they of all people would know. Their fear of doing so indicates they know this is unacceptable to the general public and in no way could be considered a 'normal' thing to do.

So I am sure that to react in disbelief to a story like this is only to be expected, because it sure looks like an exercise in the wishful thinking that characterises men who claim to wear PH.

I'm actually intrigued by the responses to the energy drink mishap. I never would have imagined so many people would have responded in such disbelief. Why should a guy's silky-smooth pantyhose legs not be looked at as much as a woman's legs?

Would your reaction of a woman wearing sheer energy suntan pantyhose be as exciting if she was wearing long baggy sweatpant-material shorts, wide-foot sandals (like what you would see on a vacationer), and a sweatshirt? Probably not.

The same holds true for guys who wear pantyhose. If you're going to wear pantyhose, then don't wear baggy denim shorts that make you look like a hippo. I personally think guys' sandals look ugly. If you're going to wear something smooth like pantyhose, then the guy's shoe should look classy, and not bulky. Bulky sandals or shoes on the feet of a pantyhose-wearing male is an ugly turn-off in male dress fashion.

My point is the clothes and shoes determine the classy stylish look of the male who wears pantyhose. Males should feel good about what they're wearing. Ladies will look at you when you're dressed with a stylish look. Unlike the slobby look illustrated in the previous paragraph, wearing pantyhose under unflattering clothes that are unflattering to the body can be a stylish nightmare.

For most guys who wear PH openly, they want glances. It's no different than wearing a new pair of blue jeans that compliment your butt. It makes you feel good when you wear the jeans, and it especially makes you feel good when others compliment you on how good the jeans look on your body.

If I was dressed stylishly with sheer energy PH on when the guy working in the office nervously spilled the drink, how would my firm legs look any less than that of a woman's legs? I'm not referring to anything sexual either.

Attention to the legs is based on the clothes that lead the eye up and down the legs.

I actually had fun with this experiment. I wish I would have had a hidden camera catching the responses.

I'm a guy who occasionally wears pantyhose discreetly with shorts, sometimes in public, and have previously contributed to this thread.

But something didn't sound right about that story to me, either. I just can't picture walking in for a business appointment and having a man sitting at the desk offer me an energy drink. A cup of coffee or glass of water, ok. But an energy drink???

If one element of the story sounds fishy to me, I have trouble believing the rest of it.

I wear Wolford deluxe 50 black tights, light stonewash denim shorts (very shorty), white tshirt, grey denim waistcoat and black pump shoes that look nice and feel so light. try wear black tights instead of nude or light colour tights cos black look sexy... :)

I took another trip to a larger city away from my "everybody-knows-everybody" small town two days ago. Similar to an earlier post I made, I wore denim shorts that come about 5 inches above the knee, a solid fitted button-down shirt, taupe sheer energy pantyhose, and black low-cut flats shoes.

I had an appointment at an office where I was offered an energy drink by a man working at a desk. I was sitting in the lobby with my legs crossed when he brought the drink to me. He was a nervous wreck. When he handed me the drink he spilled it on my pantyhose. He got some paper towels and dropped them on my leg saying, "I'm so sorry!"

I guess I drew a little more attention to my legs than what I should have on this particular day.

The power of pantyhose on guys' legs is the same as they are on ladies' legs. Shoes do have a lot to do with where the eyes follow...that is up and down the legs. They felt good and looked good. It was a good day.

I to live in a small town like Kevin and in a Trailer Park full of residents.I wear my Pantyhose with shorts and sandals.Everybody knows it but nobody says anything.I even go shopping 10 miles away to Wal-Mart and other stores or if my Pickup Truck needs work I wear my Shorts and Pantyhose and sandals there too.I'm so proud of the fact that I wear them that I even tell people I wear Pantyhose or Tights(Depending on the Weather.I even go to Yard sales dressed like that I went car shopping with my Sister Dressed in Shorts,Tshirt,Suntan Pantyhose with reinforced toe and sandals.Nobody said a thing about it.My Town I live in here in Tennessee is so small that if I stood on the South side of town and sneezed somebody on the North side of town would say "God bless you"!That's how small my town is.I don't go any where without my Pantyhose (or)Tights on.

I live in a small town where the main street is 3 blocks long, conservative, every one knows each other. i am one of 3 general contractors up here in the mountains. wearing my pantyhose just one time here and things will severely change for me and my family. Would I like to feel I could wear my nylons in public? yes! its not so much that I'd be wearing them just so I could? no. I just like wearing them. but for me i am happy and satisfied to be able to take my evening shower and slip a pair of those silky smooth shiny pantyhose on. I really enjoy wearing nylons, shopping for nylons, sleeping in nylons, putting on nylons, relaxing in nylons, looking around the internet for new nylons and anything to do with nylons especially seeing long sexy shapely legs in nylons which as we all know rarely happens anymore. I'm glad you other guys can and do wear them in public. I've never even met another guy who wears nylons. My wife knows that I wear PH. She's kind of on the fence about the issue. I will continue wearing them because of the support they give for my male anatomy, my spider vein issue, blood circulation, they help my feet breathe, and the look.

I didn't intend for anyone to take me seriously about my nylon gene statement. I've never taken drugs illegally. I went against my physician's advice of taking blood pressure medication.I feel better and don't have low testosterone levels or as much depression. Regardless of legal or illegal, side effects of drugs tend to give people a lot of dillusional thoughts. I'm not going to listen to a cold, stone-faced zombie quack tell me I've got mental issues regarding my desire to wear pantyhose.

I was out of town yesterday when I openly wore the taupe PH. I would not wear taupe PH openly in my home town. I agree that too many people talk. We definitely live in a conformity world.

I will be going out of town again Friday and I plan on wearing PH openly.

There is no such thing as a nylon gene, this is a euphemism for a nylon fetish, neither do men have a feminine side, this is simply an attempt to explain away where something has gone wrong in their upbringing making them effeminate and leaving them psychologically disfigured. There's still nothing original in the stories - still wanting women's approval and endlessly going on about how sheer pantyhose is. I wonder how long it would take before someone could truthfully say a man had introduced them to such delights as tights.

I read about the guy in taupe pantyhose who went shopping, I don't have the guts for that, I live in a small country town. Very country conservative area, me showing my pantyhose would be news that would spread like wild fire. I enjoy wearing my nylons at home. I'm happy with that. My nylons are my favorite piece of clothing of all. I'd like to hear from women who enjoy wearing pantyhose as much as we do.

I hot the opportunity to openly wear taupe pantyhose while being in another town. I wore black stretchy shorts about 4 inches above the knee, a brown/black vertical striped button-down shirt, black casual-dress shoes, and the taupe PH.

It seems like after I see females wearing PH under nice clothes that I want to experience the look and feel of wearing PH.

Today it seemed that people gravitated to me. I got a lot of looks everywhere I went. A lot of strangers spoke to me that would probably otherwise not engage in conversation if I had not been wearing pantyhose. I don't think it's my imagination.

I even went shoe shopping. I try to look for ladies shoes that don't look too feminine. I have found several really nice pumps with 2 inch heels that look no different than a male shoe from the front. The only difference is the heel is a little more narrow which might indicate to others that I'm wearing a ladies' shoe.

I told myself I would never consider ladies flats. Believe it or not, I actually liked wearing the black flats, even though they have a curvy look that shows most of the pantyhosed foot. I'm extremely tempted to purchase them. The reason I didn't...I try to never impulse-buy.

I also got a pedicure. I told the foreign girl that I wanted my nails painted taupe.

For some reason, it feels good to have smooth legs, painted nails, a large over-shirt, and black PH on as I write this. I'm still proudly a male with male desires and male characteristics.

I just happen to have the nylon gene with a little bit of a soft feminine side.

I love reading the comments from everyone. I enjoy sharing the experiences of what it feels like inside. This is a way that I feel beauty inside myself.

Sitting here in my stw clean cut shiny tan pantyhose. I love the slippery smooth feeling of these pantyhose. Nylons feel good under the bed sheets. I wish I could wear nylons to work. But I wear shorts and being around equipment would put runs in them and ruin them, plus the other guys would make life difficult so I'm happy to wear them at home

I'm 54 years old I've be a snow plow operator for over 30 years.I used to wear mens termal under wear however the dryer broke down and I did'nt have a clean pair and the 3 pairs I had were still wet.My girlfreind at the time now my wife was a figure skater she had made the suggestion why not try a pair of her tights and leotard for 1 night. We're the same height most her outfits we're size lrg. they did fit quite snug as of today this is the only artical of clothing I wear under my cover-alls tights and a turtle neck leotard. Usally start with support pantyhose & skaters tights over top, then the turtleneck leotard.The leotard makes all the difference in holding up the tights, I don't like to shave. I don't wear openly my wife even purchases these items for me I prefur the extra large they fit a little more comfortable we've been happliy married for over 26 years. We spend many evenings together just dressed in our tights and leotards,we even sleep in them together.We both find them very comfortable & wear them often, however it is essential you purchase the correct size.

Very smooth, very shiny but not that glossy look like support pantyhose. I love the way the light shines off them. Very smooth to the touch and against each other. Great to sleep and feels great when my wife runs her hands over them and they feel great going on my legs. I've got about 15 pairs of them, very durable and sheer.

On long trips compression hose really help with the leg pain. I've got knee damage from 20 years on active duty the support hose really helps. Sometimes the pain is so bad I can't stand up. But of course I like sheer slippery hose too.
The one that is great about this site is that those of us who wear pantyhose can speak plainly about it. I've seen the sites where it gets real weird. We can exchange ideas etc without aggression or insult. This is the best place I've found. What do you guys think? Has anyone checked out Shapings.com?

Sorry, i do not like wearing panty hose! I do wear thigh high nylons though and like them so much better. I also wear womens high thigh cotton panties,tall jeans and shoes. No spike heels for me but i do like about a two and one half inch heel. My favorites are the payless gus loafers that feel just great. I also found a pair on the close out rack at walmart that have a slightly lower heel. I wear these two pair of shoes constantly. I wear them with black knee socks that blend in perfectly with the shoes giving them an almost western boot look unless you pay very close attention. My greatest thrill is wearing them in public and meeting friends and talking with them for a while. It really turns me on knowing i`m standing less than three feet from them wearing womens panties, nylons ,jeans and shoes and they don`t know it. I have heard many guys offer up reasons for wearing womens stuff, but in truth, my reasons are that i just want to wear womens things and have come to the point where i really need and must have them! I really enjoy having some very sensious moments wearing these items. I hope it will never cease!

Re-read my last it says "a long time ago", I don't do that anymore. Not exposing myself sitting high up in a truck. If I was caught speeding or some other violation and I'm wearing nylons, that may be a problem. Never exposed myself. But I have to say I've seen women pass me in my truck with the skirt hiked up and taking things in their own hand. I did get caught once, I had just come out of the dept store buying new nylons. I put them on in my truck, dark tan and shiny. I put them on under my casual shorts, socks and shoes. When I was fully dressed in the parking lot I saw this lady with long legs at a distance walking in my direction. I wanted a closer look at her legs and hose. So I got out of my truck to check my load and she walked by me and commented to me saying "nice pantyhose!" I turned around and saw she had long sexy legs, I replied "thanks, you have beautiful legs and nylons" and before I knew i said this I heard myself say "your pantyhose look very smooth, may I feel them?" she smiled and said "maybe next time." and as she walked away, she turned back toward me, smiled and slowly lifted her hemline exposing more of those long sexy legs and thighs in those shimmering sexy tan pantyhose, she was beautiful.

In the 70s and 80s males never wore pierced ear rings. Today it is extremely common to see males with ear piercings. Should I have gotten the impression guys wearing pierced ear rings were crossdressers?

I witnessed a male maniquen in a mall a few weeks ago dressed in knickers. I thought knickers were for only females to wear. On the other hand, in the 70s-90s baseball pants usually came about three inches below the bottom of the knee. Stirups over solid socks was common attire for athletes. Essentially, these were knickers on guys.

Today I see parachute-looking shorts on short males that literally look like baggy skirts. This was unheard of during the 70s through the 90s. I remember seeing guys wear gymn shorts at short legnths. Any guy wearing short-legnth shorts today is classified gay. This belief started through branding the minds of Americans through prime time television and conditioning everyone to accept gays in our society.

With all this said, pantyhose should be an accepted item for all, males and females, to wear.

Guys...make sure you shave your legs before sliding those nylons on. Hair and pantyhose/tights don't go together.

I have placed my comments on this in the pass. I have read many comments on this subject now. For the most part read about men who are cross dresser and claim not to be. If you wear a womans dress, shoes, and other items, yes you are a crossdresser. Now for the main item than was the start of all this ( Do Men like to wear Pantyhose?) I add tights. Yes, I like to wear tights. I have been wearing as long as I can remember. Other wise My Mother had me wear tights rather than LongJohns.
I wear tights today because I like them for comfort, fit, plus I LIKE TO WEAR THEM. Now tights/pantyhose have always been the fine line. To some they are just for a Female to wear an to others both should be able to wear. This is where I am on the side of both should be able to wear.
Now back to my opening statement on Crossdressing, I am personly not a crossdresser but if to say I was due to the fact I wear Tights/pantyhose. That is your veiw point. The Point I am trying to make is simple do you wear tights/pantyhose Yes or no. Not the fact you wear other items of ladies clothing which is I my mind Crossdressing

I'm 46 years old and I was accustomed to seeing females in pantyhose throughout the 70's, 80's, and 90's. The style has disappeared for American women. I find many asian females wear pantyhose and leggings with finer clothing today. Who developed the trend that females should have bare clad legs as the popular trend today for American women? When I was younger, I looked at women wearing pantyhose as simply having beautiful sexy legs.

There shouldn't be anything sexist about wearing nylons. It should be based on the clothes and shoes to determine the gender look. As for males, I don't like anything about hairy legs either. Did God say that men were supposed to be beastly cave men with hair growing out on all parts of the body?

If women doesn't like hairy legs on their body, then why would they like it on a man's body? Why would wearing suntan or opaque pantyhose under medium legnth shorts and casual dress shoes on a male be less masculine?

What kind of legs do men and women want to look at? Stop letting the fashion designer elites dictate our dress codes. It's creating an un-motivated world.

Your post was a breath of fresh air, in that you are not party to the disturbing stuff so often written about this on forums. There are a few sensible contributions, but these are drowned out all to often by the oddball community, and it seems a shame to me that if tights could ever be a useful thing for men to wear, this sensual aspect has to come to the fore.

I have occasionally followed this subject elsewhere, and excluding a few like yourself, there does seem to be a crisis in masculinity at present with arguments about the right to wear women's clothing, often mixed with sex details that if true, would better be kept private anyway. It's the attempt to portray something blatantly abnormal as normal and expect the rest of us to accept it that gets irritating!

Your are entitled to your opinion. As one who wears pantyhose I admit there are males out there who wear them to portray or fulfill some latent need to want be a woman and frankly, speaking for myself only, it repulsed me. In my 55 years I have seen them around. I can't even stand to listen a male with feminine or the gay sound to their voice. As for myself? I am married, I like women, I prefer to be a man. I have no desire to be a woman or even look like one. My wife approves of my wearing nylons, she even bought some for me, she like the amourous effect they have on me. Society does not accept or recognize men in nylons. I understand that. But over the last 40 years many things have changed. When I was 10 I never saw or heard anything sexual on tv. It was accepted or recognized. Now there is a gay tv station, gay related tv shows. And an over abundance of inuendo in shows and commercials. Male enhancement commercials, etc. All of this is acceptable now.
Now major hosiery manufacturers have producing pantyhose for men. Over 50% of sales are made by men for men. I'd be willing to bet that you either know or have known some male who has or does wear pantyhose or has some other desire you don't about because they would be ashamed if anyone knew.
Dtox, I'm not saying you should run right out and try on a pair today. I am saying that your entire statement is not completely correct. Everyone on this planet has something about them they prefer to keep private.
I wear them, no one gets hurt, abused or injured. Most men who wear nylons are married hetero sexual with families.
You are correct there are males who want to look like woman and that sickens me. I am not one of those. You'd be amazed at what kind of men who wear them and their occupations. I think you'd be surprised.

I enjoy wearing Pantyhose I am 48 years old.August 2010 I was wearing my shorts suntan reinforced toe pantyhose t-shirt,I had chest pains and went to the ER(Emergency Room)I was on the table and took off my sandals.The Nurse touched my ankle to tell me to uncross my ankles then She asked Are you wearing Pantyhose?I said very proudly YES.When I was in the Hospital earlier this year I was in for a couple of days and they let me wear my pantyhose the whole time I was in there.

Hello to all the men who are man enough to be honest, and honest enough to be truthful to yourself and to others about wearing nylons. It is not easy to want to wear something and feel you might be criticized for doing so. I am 42 and I wear nylons everyday. It was not always so easy. There were many times over the years that I felt awkward. It took a lot of courage to take the first step and publicly wear them. I am proud to say that I have overcome the hurdle, and I am no longer self conscience about what others may think. I encourage every man who enjoys wearing nylons not to give up. Be yourself, and don't try to be someone your not, just be you. The sooner you do the better you. A couple of suggestions I will offer. If you are going to wear nylons in public, you need to shave your legs. Also, if you wear them with shorts or something other than long pants, don't wear big bulky shoes, instead wear ladies flats or a small heel, you will look much better.

Hi,I am a regular man, married and with a 9 year old girl. For all those who wonder if it is ok to wear pantyhose or other thing, my answer is GO FOR IT,WHY NOT?. Life is short and I think I can use my body the way I want to get me some pleasure. I don't care what others can think if they know I wear pantyhose. But I only do under my pants or I go to sleep, sometimes with a short. I like to shave my legs in winter time to wear them, and keep the hair long in summer time with no pantyhose at all. It feel like one thing for each season and I enjoy it. I'm the kind of italian guy with very long hair...so...I don't like to see my hairy legs in pantyhose as well as other men wearing them.Just I don't like that. but for me it is not the "looks", just the feeling. I am 50 years old and never know if some day have to go to an emergency room wearing a pantyhose....@@@@...but I do really don't care!!!!! In my opinion it is better when you shave your legs, otherwise they don't stay in place. Im sitting on my couch in my pantyhose, suntan, slippery pantyhose. They feel so good. I love putting on pantyhose as much as i lovr wearing them. I sleep in pantyhose EVERY night. I have about 300 pairs of excellent pantyhose. Also about 30 very smooth soft shiny soft stockings. I dont wear stockings but i do have a use for them. When i first started wearing stw and sheer pantyhose it sometime became painful wearing pantyhose under my slacks sometimes my skin on "myself" would protrude through my pantyhose snd my slack would aggitate that certain part so i'd put the stocking over "it", not only did that fix the irritant but it also feels real good, you should try it, the nylon on "it" feelx real good against the inside of my pantyhose. Try the Marissa sandal foot stocking from stockingirl.com, you're going to like it

Im sitting on my couch in my pantyhose, suntan, slippery pantyhose. They feel so good. I love putting on pantyhose as much as i lovr wearing them. I sleep in pantyhose EVERY night. I have about 300 pairs of excellent pantyhose. Also about 30 very smooth soft shiny soft stockings. I dont wear stockings but i do have a use for them. When i first started wearing stw and sheer pantyhose it sometime became painful wearing pantyhose under my slacks sometimes my skin on "myself" would protrude through my pantyhose snd my slack would aggitate that certain part so i'd put the stocking over "it", not only did that fix the irritant but it also feels real good, you should try it, the nylon on "it" feelx real good against the inside of my pantyhose. I enjoy wearing pantyhose for the feel and the look. Cotton socks and briefs are annoying to wear most of the time. I like to wear taupe, tan, and black. I'm a short person, 5'9", so I like to dress in a manner that doesn't give me the appearance of being short.

Long shorts are a turn-off for me and my short legs. I prefer wearing shorts that are 4-4 1/2 inches above the knee. Whatever the color of PH worn with the shorts, I think casual dress flats should be worn (that is if you're trying to achieve a more dressy look).

When wearing pants, I think pleated pants without the baggy look or the "not-quite-skinny" jeans is the way to go. There are some shoe stores that carry "Clarke" shoes that have at least a 1 1/2 inch heel that look as if they were unisex shoes.

With the right pants, these shoes can give a classy stylish look without indication that the shoes are ladies shoes. The dressy look of the shoes are no different than mens' shoes.

Lastly, wear shirts or tops that don't require being tucked inside the pants. Try to find shirts/tops with collars and containing patterns or stripes running vertical.

This is a style/look for the male that enjoys wearing pantyhose without a crossdressing or female-type of look.

I’m a regular guy who likes to wear GREEN WELLINGTON boots. It all started when my mother accidentally left a pair in my shoe-rack. I used to try them on and liked the feeling when pruning the odd rose. I would furtively slip into a pair when no-one was at home, but was caught green-footed by my aunt when I was 15 Fortunately she didn’t tell my mother and 8 sisters, I think she secretly liked me in them. As I grew older, I knew I had always been different, I wanted to have some GREEN WELLINGTONS of my own! I now have some 30 pairs, and my wife, who has an IQ of 4, fully supports me in my fashion choice, as do my rabbit and guinea pig. Sometimes we shop for them together, other times I go to the garden centre myself, and have always found the lady assistants there very helpful, although one did once ask across the check-out if my new boots were in the sale, so everyone knew they were for me. They have always been keen to help with size and the right den number (den = density of the green rubber).

Many women compliment me on my choice of colours for my GREEN WELLINGTONS. My favourite colours are nude green and American green from Dunlop Energy Legs Support Plus with a reinforced sole (and no doubt enriched with Marylebone jelly). I contribute to a support forum called LAUF – Lads Adoring Unisex Footwear, and there are many other “green gene” men about today, you know. I now wear 24/7, and so LOVE the feel of my GREEN WELLINGTONS, especially when they caress my bunion – I wouldn’t go anywhere without them. I even wear them in bed, sometimes I swap with my girlfriend’s red wellingtons, and sometimes we wear one red and one GREEN WELLINGTON each, even on the wrong foot for those special occasions. Don’t knock it if you have never tried it.

There are health benefits to wearing GREEN WELLINGTONS as well – if you happen to tread on a frayed electric cable, you are safe from the current, and they have been known to help prevent athlete’s foot, as contrary to popular myth, they are waterproof unless you snag them on something sharp, so don’t buy cheap GREEN WELLINGTONS.

So come on folks, this is the 21st century; men should be free to wear GREEN WELLINGTONS and break away from stereotypes imposed by bigots in plastic raincoats who don’t live in the real world. After all both men and women regard sticking plasters as “normal”, whatever that means. Robin Hood wore GREEN WELLINGTONS centuries ago, why should men today not do the same? I intend to be buried in GREEN WELLINGTONS together with the other 45 pairs I own, and I don’t care who knows it.

Its late, just got out of the shower and picked a pair of shiny, slippery, smooth, comfortable and soft tan sheer to waist pantyhose. Im sitting here and enjoying the slippery smooth feeling of these pantyhose against each other. The sensation os sliding into these pantyhose is incredible. These nylons are so smooth, its hard to resist touching these pantyhose. There is nothing like sleeping in pantyhose. For all you guys out there who want to and are tempted to wear pantyhose , dont hesitate but make sure you buy a nice pair of pantyhose. You get what you pay for. No need to spend a lot on pantyhose to find nice ones. Shapings.com is a great place with a great selection of pantyhose. Drugstore pantyhose and hose made in the U.S. Dont compare to hose made overseas. Ive been building my collection of pantyhose from shapings for about 8 years, they've got the best pantyhose. Lets stand and give a round of applause to the men who are in the spotlight that have said to society fuck you I do what I want and wear it the way I want from actors, rock bands to sports figures and to all males that love and enjoy hosiery etc and this includes me.As I look at what we call society on a whole,its all about labels and categories and it is people like you and I who make the world turn with vision from all forms of expressions once upon a time it wasn't cool to wear earrings as a male. But then if you were a man that chose to wear them then one earring in the left ear meant you were masculine a earring on the left ear and the right ear indicated that you are gay.How stupid is that? I said fine ill do two earrings on the left and two on the right now what? Then in the 1980s biking shorts were labeled as a gay male clothing item.In the 1990s it was time for up grade in the market sports tights were created for men and women and without a flap in the front for men now in the 2000s its considered the norm in our society.The same thing will happen with pantyhose for men it will be the norm I love pantyhose I wear them everyday year round and I have tested what works and doesn't work while wearing pantyhose. I have worked out in the gym with ultra sheer pantyhose just to see how it stands to the test and it won no runs or snags at all and this included running on the treadmill and walking.After about 5 washes in the washing machine the fabric does get weak. Still not bad for pantyhose that cost $1.50 :)I started with the cheap brand just too see now the pantyhose that cost more of course lasted much longer it took about 15 washes before runs and snags started to appear.I said all of this too say this I will make this product mainstream very soon I see what other companies are doing and they have missed the mark I know what will work in order for all of us males to wear pantyhose and be accepted in society without the bullshit name calling and categorizing that society does when change starts to happen round them.Out of my personal test I have seen some of the major flaws es that needs attention in this product for men.So to my pantyhose friends not to worry I will bring it too the forefront I got some hot ideas and solutions for the problems I did see.

I can relate too having too wear pantyhose to make ends meet. I work in a gay bar full time and the money is great.Tight t shirt boy short jeans and pantyhose and heels are my uniform.I know that as men most of us are attracted to women who wear hose but the truth is I didn't know that gay males like nylons on men until I started working at this bar.Its a must too be nice to all of the customers that come into the bar and some men would ask me too sit on there lap and i would but all of them like too rub my pantyhose legs and slip my heels off and sniff and kiss and rub my feet and tell me how sexy i look in pantyhose and too feel there hands on my legs and feet drives me insane because my pantyhose are nice and snug on my legs and azz and my feet get very sore from my heels.Too feel hands rubbing the bottom and massaging the ankles and the top of my feet is a turn on for them and me.I thank the inventor for creating pantyhose because it is getting me PAID.I just hate when the customers still my stockings when I wear them because that kind of behavior can get me fired :( PANTYHOSE AND STOCKINGS RULES :)

I'm a black male in my late thirties and I have this thing for pantyhose.The feel of pantyhose are incredible.One day I was hired too clean this house and I got caught by the owner of the house. She ask me too remove my shoes before I walk on her Mahogany rug and when I get too her kitchen I can put my shoes back on I got scared and she was telling me hurry up so I took my shoes off and it was nothing to it she didn't see my nylon feet.The feel of that rug on my feet sent a rush too my head once we got too the kitchen she looked at me and said ok you can put your shoes on again and as she said it her head looked down at the same time and she noticed my nylon feet and she gave me this cold look and said REALLY are you wearing hose ? I said yes she then said she wanted too see and ordered me too remove my pants I did and she took a picture of me with her cell phone I ask her not too her response was MY HOUSE ! MY PHONE ! AND NOW MY SWEET CHOCOLATE MAN MAID ! long story too the short I got hired permanently and my uniform is too wear pantyhose of my choice and t shirt that comes too my waist only HOW COOL I hate when I have too serve the guess that's another story.bye bye
